今天，是北京奧運(yùn)會(huì)十周年。

2008年8月8日晚8時(shí)，第29屆夏季奧林匹克運(yùn)動(dòng)會(huì)在中國(guó)國(guó)家體育場(chǎng)隆重開幕。

我們用超乎想象的創(chuàng)意、大氣磅礴的氣勢(shì)、極具文化特色的表演，帶給世界一個(gè)巨大的驚喜。

The Drummers

鼓陣

一道耀眼的天光，激活了場(chǎng)內(nèi)古老的日晷，2008個(gè)方鼓閃亮銀光，巨大的矩陣擊缶迎賓，在觀眾的激情吶喊聲中，場(chǎng)上閃出最后10秒倒計(jì)時(shí)。

An army of 2,008 drummers pounded out the countdown to the Games.

Footprint fireworks

奧林匹克的“腳印”

發(fā)明火藥的中國(guó)以制造神奇的焰火聞名于世，但運(yùn)用焰火達(dá)到鬼斧神工境界的莫過于這一晚。

Precisely-timed rockets formed one "footprint" every second, marching to the Bird's Nest, with 29 footprints in all, one for each modern Olympiad.

精確定時(shí)的火箭每秒鐘形成一個(gè)“腳印”，向著鳥巢行進(jìn)，總共有29個(gè)腳印，象征著每一屆現(xiàn)代奧運(yùn)會(huì)。

這充滿中國(guó)寫意之妙的“巨人腳印”，沿著古老北京的中軸線，在激越的轟鳴聲中，一步步走向鳥巢，所有觀眾為之震撼和激動(dòng)。

當(dāng)“奧運(yùn)足跡”出現(xiàn)在“鳥巢”主賽場(chǎng)上空時(shí)，全場(chǎng)9萬(wàn)多觀眾為之沸騰。

銀色五環(huán)從地上“站立”起來的景象也令人驚嘆，這一巧妙的變化，使現(xiàn)場(chǎng)觀眾發(fā)出雷鳴般掌聲。

As the fireworks died down, acrobats dressed as Apsarases flew above the arena, and thousands of tiny lights came together to form the Olympic rings, which magically lifted into the air to gasps from the crowd.

當(dāng)煙花散去，雜技演員們扮成飛天的樣子，在舞臺(tái)上空飛翔，成千上萬(wàn)的點(diǎn)點(diǎn)燈光匯聚到一起組成了奧運(yùn)五環(huán)，魔術(shù)般地升上天空，令觀眾嘆為觀止。

The Giant Scroll

巨型卷軸

地上巨大的卷軸慢慢拉開，一幅147米長(zhǎng)、27米寬的巨大LED屏幕，化身中國(guó)五千年歷史的長(zhǎng)卷。

A scroll unfurled to form a giant screen onto which images of China's 5,000-year history were projected. 

一個(gè)卷軸展開，形成一個(gè)巨大的屏幕，上面用投影展示了中國(guó)5000年歷史的圖像。

Dancers spread themselves across the bare scroll, making giant paintings as they went.

Thousands of years of art, including cave paintings and one of China's most celebrated early paintings, the 12th century Song dynasty master work, A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains, were projected onto the scroll.

Confucius and the Printing Press

孔子和印刷術(shù)

A choir of 3,000 dressed as disciples of Confucius and waving bamboo slips – an early form of book – chanted lines from his greatest work of philosophy, theAnalects. 

一個(gè)3000人的合唱團(tuán)打扮成孔子的弟子，揮舞著竹簡(jiǎn) （一種早期的書籍形式），將他最偉大的哲學(xué)著作《論語(yǔ)》中的名句吟唱出來。

Meanwhile, an extraordinary performance of rising and falling blocks, each containing a person, represented a giant, living printing press, invented by the Chinese in 1041, eventually forming the character "He", meaning peace or harmony.

與此同時(shí)，一場(chǎng)精彩絕倫的表演在眼前展現(xiàn)，上下起伏的方塊中各有一名表演者，組成一個(gè)巨型活字印刷機(jī)，這是中國(guó)在1041年的一大發(fā)明。表演末尾，方塊拼成了一個(gè)“和”字，意指和平、和諧。

You and Me

我和你

Chinese singer Liu Huan and Sarah Brightman sang the Beijing Games anthem, "You and Me", in Chinese and English.

莎拉·布萊曼和中國(guó)歌手劉歡用中英雙語(yǔ)演唱了北京奧運(yùn)會(huì)主題曲《我和你》。

這首主題歌大大出乎人們意料，誰(shuí)也沒有想到它是如此地柔情，沒有氣吞山河，沒有激越云天，卻直達(dá)人們內(nèi)心最柔軟的地方。
全場(chǎng)寂靜下來，沐浴在“同一個(gè)世界，同一個(gè)夢(mèng)想”的人性光輝之中。

歌聲中，歡樂的孩子撐開傘，場(chǎng)上閃現(xiàn)出萬(wàn)張世界各地孩子的笑臉，全場(chǎng)響起熱烈掌聲。
