Samsung Electronics unveiled two new foldable smartphones on July 26 as it continues to bet（下注） on devices with bending（彎曲的） screens.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5, a larger device that opens and folds like a book, can now be pre-ordered in certain markets including the United States and South Korea.

The phones have bigger displays than Samsung's previous folding devices and are equipped with more advanced cameras, providing clearer visuals and more features for work, text and video chats, movies and games, the company said.

All that technology comes at a price.?In the US, the Flip 5 will start at around $1,000 and the Fold 5 at $1,800.

The company announced the new phones at a product event in South Korea's capital, Seoul.

Foldable devices accounted for（占） around 40% of Samsung's high-end devices sold in South Korea last year and the share（貢獻） is expected to increase in 2023, Tae Moon Roh, head of Samsung's mobile business, said during a meeting with reporters.
