Well, it was my birthday. I invited a few close friends over and we decided to cook

something together, but it turned out something unforgettable.Last September, it was

my birthday. My friends and I decided to celebrate it together at my home. We were

going to have a hotpot dinner. One of the rules for the dinner was that everybody had

to bring something after work and we would share them. Therefore, I texted each one

of my friends for certain items they had to bring, but I made a terrible and funny

mistake. Instead of asking different people to bring different items, I sent the same

message to them that was “bring lettuce and tomatoes” and they all did as the message

told them. As expected, I had 5 people, with 5 bags of lettuce and 5 bags of tomatoes

at my doorstep at 6 o’clock. There was no meat or drinks at all, and it’s already too

late to order other food and wait for them because it’s Friday night.

So, I had a complete vegan dinner for my XX birthday dinner. We had lettuce and

tomato soup, lettuce and tomato salad, lettuce and tomato sandwich. Frankly speaking,

it did not taste very nice, but I enjoyed this special dinner very much. After all, how

many vegetarian birthday celebration dinners will you have in your whole life? It was

unforgettable indeed.?
