這篇文章主要為文獻和wiki的翻譯，從下一個分割線后開始，每當我有自己的觀點會用（括號里的紅色字寫出）

中文常見譯名還有芭班·希，個人認為那是將蘇格蘭蓋爾語中的 Baobhan sith 直接當做英文發(fā)音而音譯出的名字，至于其在蘇格蘭語中的發(fā)音用英語究竟怎么讀，很多地方指出為 baavan shee 或 buhvan shee 或 baa'van see，而換到中文均音近芭萬·希而非芭班·希，所以本文章統(tǒng)一翻作芭萬·希。此外，本人沒有翻譯人名的習慣，且會保留書名不翻譯來方便讀者找書。

此外，芭萬·希畢竟只是傳說，關于芭萬·希的傳說有非常多的版本，我將把盡可能多的版本翻譯在此。（例如有些地方認為其是魅魔，有些認為是吸血鬼）

至于為什么要翻譯這些，看我的名字就知道了罷（

說點無關的，fgo里芭萬希的技能——妖精吸血，應該是從傳說中吸取男性獵人的血液而來的。兄弟，一定要看芭萬希啊，芭萬希是真的漂亮，吸我的血我也愿意啊。

后續(xù)可能還會翻譯一些其他的神話傳說生物的文獻，比方說我的xp，精靈。妖精耳根據色調不同既可以凸顯妖艷的美麗又可以凸顯圣潔的美麗。

The men expressed a desire for partners to dance with, and soon after that four women entered the hut. Three of them danced while the fourth sat beside the vocalist. He then noticed drops of blood falling from his companions and fled from the hut, taking refuge among the horses. His partner chased him but was unable to catch him, and when daylight came she disappeared. The man went back inside and found all three of his friends dead and drained of blood.?

The folklorist?Katharine Briggs?suggested that the baobhan sith was unable to catch the fourth man among the horses because of the?iron?with which the horses were shod, iron being a traditional?fairy?vulnerability.

In a third story the hunters took refuge in a cave. At that moment a group of young women entered the cave, and the men who had wished for their sweethearts were killed. Macphee was protected by his dog who drove the women from the cave.

One recurring motif in these stories is that the baobhan sith appear almost immediately after the hunters express their desire for female companionship. This is connected with a traditional Scottish belief that if one were to make a wish at night without also invoking God's protection, then that wish would be granted in some terrible manner.

THE LEGENDARY Baobhan Sith, pronounced baa'van see, are also known as the White Women of the Scottish Highlands. These mystical creatures took the form of a beautiful woman, lurking the Highlands, waiting to seduce young travellers and drink their blood.

Thought to be fairies, the Baobhan Sith were generally withdrawn from society, unlike their sucubi counterparts. They didn’t care about power, wealth or youth. They only cared about feeding - luring young hunters in by inviting them to dance with them until they grew too exhausted to overpower the Baobahn Sith. They would then feed upon their helpless victims, draining them dry of blood.

受限于文獻獲取渠道，有許多書無法獲取到，還是很可惜的。不過芭萬·希的形象基本上已經定型了，都是以人血為食的美麗女妖精。

而且實話實說，我老婆芭萬希的資料可以說是非常少的，和她名字相近的ban shee（報喪女妖）則要出名得多，二者名字相近是因為其直譯都是女妖精，只不過一個在蘇格蘭的傳說，一個在愛爾蘭的傳說。我查閱了一些凱爾特神話（愛爾蘭威爾士地區(qū)）的辭典，只能找到報喪女妖，而鮮有芭萬·希。要找到芭萬希還得去翻閱世界神話辭典，但是一般越廣的書，講某一事物就越淺。許多有名的書里甚至可能壓根找不到芭萬希的蹤影。

芭萬·希是蘇格蘭地區(qū)的知名妖精，但是即使在蘇格蘭的神話我也沒有找到詳細記錄芭萬·希的書或文獻，有可能她本身只有那么些記錄吧。
