The apple itself is an eternal symbol of abundance, prosperity and generosity. To the ancient Celts, the apple blossom was a sign of fertility and was offered as a gift of love. In the Language of Flowers (which is very much the language of lovers), the apple blossom designated preference; the lady’s choice of one suitor over another. The apple tree and its blossoms also represent gateways to other worlds of knowledge, illumination and magic. It opens up our awareness of always having choices.
