How to protect wild animals has always been a debate.

While some argue that it is necessary to save all wild animals, however, my opinion, on the contrary is that we just need to protect part of them.??

People who are in favor of protecting all wild creatures base their ground on the fact that they are part of whole eco-system. If some species are extinct , human beings will eventually be affected. For example, in some areas, local bats no longer exist, leading to the fact that the number of insects accordingly increases, which will damage local crops.? Besides, the booming wildlife is a symbol of bio-diversity. Different animals are dependent on others to live on the earth.If there were not a wide range of species, natural environment would be in an unbalanced state.??

Nonetheless, it is unpractical to save all species. One reason is that not all animals are valuable and it is suggested that we just preserve rare species.

A good example to illustrate is Chinese panda, which is symbol of China. As their population is small and natural habitats have been destroyed because of deforestation, local people have already built natural reserves to protect them. In addition, government’s funding is not unlimited. Spending money on protecting wildlife means the investment on other industries which is closely related to the whole well-being of locals, such as education, agriculture and medical service, is reduced. For above reasons, we can not maintain all wild animals.

To conclude, while saving all wildlife sounds perfect, I personally believed that protecting part of wild animals is more pragmatic.
