Siddhartha learned something new on every step of his path, for the world was transformed, and his heart was enchanted. He saw the sun rising over the mountains with their forests and setting over the distant beach with its palm-trees. At night, he saw the stars in the sky in their fixed positions and the crescent of the moon floating like a boat in the blue. He saw trees, stars, animals, clouds, rainbows, rocks, herbs, flowers, stream and river, the glistening dew in the bushes in the morning, distant high mountains which were blue and pale, birds sang and bees, wind silverishly blew through the rice-field. Siddhartha一路來(lái)學(xué)了不少新東西，因?yàn)槭澜缫呀?jīng)天翻地覆，他的心也沉醉其中。他看過(guò)朝陽(yáng)出于被森林覆蓋的山脈之上，也看過(guò)夕陽(yáng)落于遠(yuǎn)處的布滿棕櫚樹的海灘。夜間，他看到群星鑲嵌在天空固定的方位，也看到月牙像只船兒一樣飄蕩在藍(lán)海。他看過(guò)樹林、群星、云彩、彩虹、巨石、花簇、溪流河水、各樣動(dòng)物和草本植物、清晨灌木上晶瑩的露水、遠(yuǎn)處黛青色的巍峨群山、聲音清脆的鳥兒和嗡鳴的蜜蜂，以及穿過(guò)稻田的銀色清風(fēng)。
