【語(yǔ)齋.翻譯】“白馬王子”可不是white horse prince，英語(yǔ)里用這個(gè)詞！

看了那么多童話(huà)故事，你是不是也曾想過(guò)在未來(lái)的某一天，會(huì)有一個(gè)帥氣英俊的王子，騎著白馬來(lái)尋你呢？
在中國(guó)的傳說(shuō)故事中，騎白馬的要么是唐僧，要么是唱著“我身騎白馬走三關(guān)”的薛平貴，所以“白馬王子”的稱(chēng)呼肯定是國(guó)外傳來(lái)的啦。
但英文中并沒(méi)有用White Horse Prince或Prince White Horse 這樣的固定用法來(lái)形容心儀的男生哦~
《漢英詞典》中把白馬王子直譯為“prince on a white horse”，但同時(shí)也后綴解釋為“Prince Charming”?！缎率兰o(jì)漢英大詞典》中則干脆就把白馬解釋為了“ideal boyfriend; Prince Charming”。
文學(xué)作品中的第一位Prince Charming出現(xiàn)在奧斯卡?王爾德（Oscar Wilde）的小說(shuō)《多里安?格雷的畫(huà)像》（The Picture of Dorian Gray）里。小說(shuō)中提到，美男子多里安?格雷在女演員西比爾?文心目中是一位Prince Charming。
而且仔細(xì)研究，童話(huà)故事中那些迷人的王子似乎也并沒(méi)有騎白馬的愛(ài)好。反倒是拿破侖之類(lèi)的戰(zhàn)斗將軍，把白馬看作是勝利的象征。
當(dāng)然了，雖然白馬王子并不是英文中形容真命天子的固定用法，但是“騎著白馬迎接公主的王子”絕對(duì)是全世界女孩共同的美夢(mèng)。
歌手泰勒·斯威夫特（Taylor Swift）更是曾有一首歌直接取名為《White Horse》，用來(lái)追憶已經(jīng)分手的前男友。
