It’s not always easy to tell how tall people are when you’re watching them on TV.
Even when you watch sports like basketball or football, these players don’t seem like giants on the screen.
I saw this photo the other day and it blew my mind.
The thing that really blew me away was the difference between The Rock and Shaq. I knew Shaquille was a big fella, and that The Rock was no slouch either… but they aren’t even in the same realm in terms of size and height.

I was getting out of an elevator in a medical building in Los Angeles once, and two men passed me, getting in. One was the tallest man I’d ever seen in my life - he had to bend almost completely over to get in, and to stand inside. He was Chinese. The man next to him was perfectly ordinary.
I found out later that it was Yao and his manager. Yao is a giant. An honest-to-god, true to life GIANT.
