A bit more info about the video:
- I'm playing 7th arpeggios in all 12 major and minor keys
- The order of the arpeggios is based on the Circle of Fifths. Counter clockwise for the Major keys and clockwise for the Minor keys
That being said, here is what can be improved with only one exercise:
- Alternative picking (be sure to use this picking technique throughout the routine - you can increase the tempo when you feel comfortable)
- Shapes of the arpeggios played all over the fretboard. Starting with different finger on the root note gives you different shape of the arpeggio
- Which notes are played in each arpeggio (this can really help you when improvising)
- Playing these in two octaves can drastically improve your Fretboard Visualization
- Memorizing the Circle of Fifths (this will help you to better understand how chords in progressions work with each other)
