The Great Wall of China is one of the greatest wonders of the world, which is called the ‘ten-thousand-li Great Wall’ in Chinese.
It is located in the north of China, it winds its way from west to east, across deserts, over mountains, through valleys till at last it reaches the sea. It is the longest wall in the world, which length is about 21196 kilometers.
The great wall has a history of over twenty centuries. The first part was built during the Spring and Autumn Period. During the warring States Period, more walls were put up to defend the borders of the different kingdoms. It was during the Qin Dynasty that the kingdom of Qin united the different parts into one empire. To keep the enemy out of his empire, Emperor Qin Shi Huang had all the walls joined up, from then on, the Great wall came into being.
As one of the largest man-made structures on Earth, it was granted UNESCO World Heritage Status in 1987.Nowadays, it has become one of the most popular interests in the world.

???????它建于中國北部，自西向東蜿蜒，穿過沙漠，越過高山，穿過峽谷，最后抵達海洋。它是世界上最長的城墻，長約21196千米。
???????長城已有超過20個世紀的歷史。它的第一個部分建于春秋時期。在戰(zhàn)國時期，越來越多的城墻被建造起來用于捍衛(wèi)不同王朝的邊界。直至秦國統(tǒng)一六國，秦始皇將所有的城墻連接起來，自此，長城誕生了。
???????作為地球上大型人工建筑之一，長城于1987年被聯(lián)合國教科文組織列為世界文化遺產(chǎn)。今天，它已經(jīng)成為世界上最受歡迎的旅游景點之一。
