????俄羅斯的人們常說：不認(rèn)錯(cuò)就不算犯錯(cuò)。臭名昭著的實(shí)驗(yàn)科學(xué)部就曾犯過錯(cuò)，這個(gè)錯(cuò)誤就是化學(xué)部隊(duì)?；瘜W(xué)部隊(duì)的毒液極其危險(xiǎn)，以至于其他蘇聯(lián)軍隊(duì)大多馬上就學(xué)會(huì)對(duì)其警而遠(yuǎn)之，那些不這么做的，大多死相慘烈。
????受人唾棄的蘇聯(lián)實(shí)驗(yàn)科學(xué)部最病態(tài)、最恐怖的產(chǎn)品大概就是化學(xué)部隊(duì)了。迄今為止的戰(zhàn)斗結(jié)果也都說明了這一點(diǎn)。
????化學(xué)部隊(duì)的研發(fā)史就像他們本身一樣令人不適。隨著蘇聯(lián)在戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)中節(jié)節(jié)敗退，領(lǐng)導(dǎo)層也逐漸分崩離析，實(shí)驗(yàn)科學(xué)部的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)們也都大難臨頭各自飛了。有些人想逃到國(guó)外，但未必順利；剩下的一些就向盟軍投降了，然后就下落不明了。但部門里最忠誠(chéng)的官員，即便戰(zhàn)敗在即，仍堅(jiān)定地繼續(xù)著研究。畢竟，他們多數(shù)同僚早已逃跑，官僚主義的層層統(tǒng)治也瓦解了，他們這些留下來的就可以迅速研究那些在部門秘密大樓里醞釀的想法了。在這段孤注一擲的時(shí)光中，唯一為人所知的產(chǎn)物便是化學(xué)部隊(duì)項(xiàng)目，縮寫DTP（Desolator Trooper Programme）。DTP引發(fā)了前線士兵的不安，該項(xiàng)目所觸犯的國(guó)際通用軍事準(zhǔn)則條款竟多達(dá)71條。
????雖然開發(fā)DTP項(xiàng)目的官員成為了化學(xué)部隊(duì)第一批的犧牲品，但化學(xué)部隊(duì)最后還是（讓人意外地）得到了認(rèn)可，加入了蘇聯(lián)起義軍，不只是因?yàn)樯鐣?huì)上沒有他們的容身之所，也因?yàn)樘K聯(lián)起義軍也必須利用一切能獲得的力量。
????當(dāng)然，化學(xué)部隊(duì)就得名于他們用作武器的劇毒化學(xué)液體，這種液體蒸發(fā)極快，蒸發(fā)后也幾乎沒有殘?jiān)?，因此也搞不清楚里面究竟是些什么，不過人們認(rèn)為那是從蘇聯(lián)維護(hù)不佳的超級(jí)反應(yīng)堆里那搞來的化學(xué)副產(chǎn)品。化學(xué)部隊(duì)的出現(xiàn)與一系列慘絕人寰的事故有關(guān)，陰險(xiǎn)狡詐的蘇聯(lián)并沒花多久就從事故中發(fā)現(xiàn)了研發(fā)化學(xué)部隊(duì)的一絲可能性。幾年來，毀滅空襲一直是蘇聯(lián)在前線常用的進(jìn)攻手段，但直到最近，實(shí)驗(yàn)科學(xué)部才找到了運(yùn)輸這些毒液更為方便的辦法。誠(chéng)然，化學(xué)部隊(duì)可不是普通人類，加之裝甲服里應(yīng)該有液壓裝置助力，他們才可以提起一般人絕對(duì)提不起來的儲(chǔ)液罐。

????研發(fā)過程中，有一些化學(xué)部隊(duì)呼吸新鮮空氣就會(huì)咳嗽至死，于是便加厚了套裝上的金屬面罩。
????化學(xué)部隊(duì)裝甲服里的人是什么狀況鮮為人知，他們記憶紊亂，狂熱好戰(zhàn)，不需要吃飯，也不需要休息。他們?cè)谘b甲服里也不過只能活上一兩年，也可能因?yàn)榫S系其生命的電池報(bào)廢而死去?？紤]到隸屬鄂木斯克實(shí)驗(yàn)科學(xué)部的傷病員鑒別分類中心有許多絕癥患者人間蒸發(fā)，用“行尸走肉”來形容他們應(yīng)該是再合適不過了。無論實(shí)驗(yàn)科學(xué)部對(duì)化學(xué)部隊(duì)做了什么，他們都造就了一個(gè)免受自己毒液侵害、能從各種攻擊中迅速恢復(fù)的可怕士兵，僅僅一個(gè)化學(xué)部隊(duì)兵就能，以某種方式，對(duì)抗并擊敗一支訓(xùn)練有素的盟軍步兵排。

戰(zhàn)場(chǎng)筆記：?通過戰(zhàn)地偵察，已獲悉化學(xué)部隊(duì)至少具有以下幾個(gè)特征：

• 恰如其名的死亡噴霧——化學(xué)部隊(duì)使用一對(duì)加壓管戰(zhàn)斗，管中噴射出的劇毒液體能瞬間剝離骨肉，接著迅速融化骨頭。因此，這種非常規(guī)武器對(duì)血肉之軀的破壞力遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)勝過槍彈炸藥。

• 融化裝甲的濺射炮彈——化學(xué)部隊(duì)也有辦法對(duì)抗裝甲載具。從他們的濺射炮管里發(fā)射出的腐蝕性毒液球不僅能堵塞機(jī)關(guān)運(yùn)動(dòng)（從而降低載具移速），還能作為死亡噴霧的催化劑。載具一旦被“濺到”，死亡噴霧摧毀它就基本跟殺死沙灘上的肥仔一樣簡(jiǎn)單。

• 格擋傷害的超厚裝甲——化學(xué)部隊(duì)抵抗所有類型的毒素的能力還有個(gè)不錯(cuò)的附帶效果，那就是他們能忍受極度的痛楚，承受極大的傷害。不過他們并非感覺不到疼痛，只是他們習(xí)慣了那些不適感罷了。

• 花銷不菲的實(shí)驗(yàn)項(xiàng)目——戰(zhàn)后，實(shí)驗(yàn)科學(xué)部孤注一擲地將剩下的大部分資金都用于研發(fā)化學(xué)部隊(duì)的裝甲和武器，至少也取得了不錯(cuò)的成果。化學(xué)部隊(duì)如此稀少與他們昂貴的研發(fā)資金不無關(guān)系。

In Russia is it often said that mistakes are made only when they are admitted. And for once, the Union's notorious Ministry of Experimental Science made a mistake when it introduced the Desolator Troopers. Their poisons are so vile that most other Soviet remnant forces soon learned to stay far away. Those who did not tended to die rather shockingly.

The Desolator Trooper is quite possibly the sickest, most terrible product of the Union's reviled Ministry of Experimental Science. Yet the battlefield results are undeniable.

The history of the Desolator Troopers is nearly as wretched as they themselves. As the hour grew ever-darker for the Soviet Union and its leadership, the chiefs of the Ministry of Experimental Science entertained several options and cared little for consensus. Some chose to flee the nation, or attempted to do so in vain. Others surrendered to Allied forces; their whereabouts are unknown. The most committed of the Ministry's officers, however, steadfastly continued their research, even in the face of imminent defeat. After all, with many of their colleagues gone, several layers of bureaucracy had vanished, allowing these remaining officers to rapidly continue with whatever it was they were cooking up in the Ministry's secret halls. The only known product of this desperate time is the Desolator Trooper Programme (DTP), which breeds front-line soldier so terrible that their very existence flies in the face of an astonishing 71 different International Provisions of Appropriate Military Conduct.

Although the officers responsible for the DTP proved to be among the Desolator Troopers' first victims, the Desolator Troopers eventually (and surprisingly) proved to be agreeable enough to willingly enlist in the Soviet resistance, for they had no other place in society. Nor did the Soviet resistance have the luxury of turning anybody down.

The Desolator Troopers of course take their name from the poisonous fluids they use as weapons. The poisons evaporate quickly and leave little residue behind so it is impossible to know what exactly they consist of, though they are believed to be the chemical by-product of poorly maintained Soviet super-reactors. That is, the discovery of the Desolator Trooper is linked to a series of terrible accidents, though the ever-resourceful Soviet military soon found the silver lining in this. Desolator-based airstrikes have been vogue for Soviet frontline offensives for years, yet only recently did the Ministry find a way to transport these fluids in a more-portable fashion. Granted, an average man could never hoist the fluid tanks. But the Desolator Troopers are more than human, and the hydraulics in their armor probably help them, too.

Little is known of the men inside the Desolator Troopers' armored suits. They themselves have no coherent memories of their past lives and seem content to fight. They require no rest and no food, although they live in their suits for only about a year or two, or until their life-support systems' batteries fizzle out. And so, given all the numerous unresolved reports of terminally-ill patients disAppearing from triage centers in the Ministry's headquarters in Omsk, there is a distinct possibility that these "dead men walking" are exactly that. Whatever the Ministry has done to the Desolator Troopers, they have become extremely resilient both to their own poisons and all types of injury, such that even a single Desolator Trooper could viably stand against a well-trained Allied platoon and emerge victorious...in a way.

Battlefield reconnaissance has revealed at least these facts about the Desolator Trooper:

The aptly-named Deathspray -- Desolator Troopers fight using dual pressurized hoses that project streams of vile, toxic fluids that can strip flesh from bone almost instantly and cause the bone to disintegrate moments later. Thus, this unconventional weapon is considered to be far more dangerous to flesh-and-blood targets than bullets or bombs.

? The armor-melting Splattershot Gun -- Desolators also have means of dealing with armored vehicles. The corrosive globs fired from the Desolator's Splattershot Gun not only clog up mechanical parts (thereby reducing top speeds), but serve as a catalyst for the Deathspray. In essence, once a vehicle is "splattered", it becomes as vulnerable to the Deathspray as a portly fellow at the beach.

? Nearly immune to injury -- A hAppy side-effect of the Desolator Trooper's resistance to all kinds of different toxins is an extremely high resistance to general pain and physical injury. It is not the case that these men feel no pain; they have simply grown used to experiencing constant, negative sensation.

? A costly experiment -- After the war, the Ministry of Experimental Science desperately spent most of its remaining funds developing the Desolator Trooper's armor and weaponry, and though the results proved effective, if profane, the costs associated with these forces make them quite uncommon.
