君不見，黃河之水天上來，

Has the water in the Yellow River, by you, ever noticed?

奔流到海不復回。

It seems to flow from the heavens and right into the sea!

君不見，高堂明鏡悲白發(fā)，

Has your white hair in the mirror, by you, ever pitied?

?

朝如青絲暮成雪。

It seems to turn from black silk into white snow in one day only!

?

人生得意須盡歡，

Everyone in their palmy days deserves a revelry;

?

莫使金樽空對月。

never shall you toast your success to the moon only!

天生我材必有用，

None of us is born to be nobody;

?

千金散盡還復來。

all the money given out will pay off eventually.

烹羊宰牛且為樂，

On the lamb and the beef, let us just feast;

會須一飲三百杯。

none of us shall leave until the last cask gets emptied.

岑夫子，丹丘生，

Cen and Yuan, my dearest buddies!

鐘鼓饌玉不足貴，

Instead of an affluent life which I’d never cherish,

但愿長醉不愿醒。

I'd rather live in those dreams boozy but cozy.?

古來圣賢皆寂寞，

Most of the sage names in time waned with ages;

惟有飲者留其名。

yet the drinkers managed to leave their names in history.

陳王昔時宴平樂，

Duke of Ping Le used to host his banquets,

斗酒十千恣歡謔。

during which ton’s of wine, to the fun, were added.

主人何為言少錢，

Hosts like me never shrink from lack of money;

徑須沽取對君酌。

to drink with ye, I’m willing to sell all my property.

五花馬，千金裘，

My horse of noble breed, my mink coat of luxury,

呼兒將出換美酒，

for mellow wine, let’s just barter them each,

與爾同銷萬古愁。

to dispel all those laments, since ages ago, existed.
