I am from Beijing, born and raised. I'm from a gorgeous city in the south of China named Kunming, which is also known as "Spring City". I have been living in Shenzhen for fifteen years. My family moved here when I was five years old. Our house is in a small and picturesque village in the north of Chengdu. There are four people in my family—my parents my sister and me. I have three siblings, which is pretty unusual for a chinese family. My dad has been an engineer his entire life and he is going to retire in five years. They also told me that if i promised someone something, I had to deliver. My name was given by my parents and it doesn't have any special meaning actually. My parents picked my name according to the Chinese Five Elements theory. A fortune teller told me to give up my old name so that I would have a brighter future. I major in Chinese literature because I have always been fond of our traditional culture and poetry. i chose to study japanese because i had had a penchant for japanese anime ever since i was a kid. My parents have always tried to convince me to become a civil servant because it has great job security. I have been studying advertising for the past three years. I am going to pursue a career in this field. I'd like to further my studies in Canada after I finish my bachelor's degree. I'm working as a fashion designer. this was my dream job when I was a teenager and I'm happy that I have realized this dream. I'm mainly responsible for drawing up contracts. it sounds like a menial job, but i can't afford to make any mistakes. I am in a dead-end job. There is no room for any pay raise or promotion. I'm fed up with my boss and I have been considering changing jobs recently. My job is quite Meaningful and I feel that i am making a difference to others' lives.
