“打臉”英文怎么說？可不是“beat face”，也不是“hit face”哦
說到“打臉”，是指某人夸了?？诨蛴闷渌绞秸f了不太對的話，后來自己沒能做到或者是有事與愿違的結(jié)果出現(xiàn)。給聽眾、公眾的感覺就是“自己打自己臉”。（一般指被當(dāng)面證明錯誤，使其丟臉；或者不給面子。）

01.“不要臉”的文雅表達也就是“不知廉恥”shameless
shame是羞恥心，less后綴是沒有，shameless 就是“沒有羞恥心的”
比如：
shameless rat 無恥小人
shameless rubbish 不要臉的垃圾?
例：
He is completely shameless about what he has done.
他的所作所為真是不要臉！
02.“不要臉”還可以用這個詞：brazen
brazen 本意是“黃銅的”，在這里指“厚臉皮的”。
我們說“臉皮厚的跟銅墻似的”，老外說“厚得跟黃銅似的”。

許多領(lǐng)導(dǎo)不想因為承認失敗而丟面子。
英文里既有l(wèi)ose face，也有save face，可以被理解為：保住面子
例：
Jill didn't get the joke, but she laughed along to save face & hoped that no one would ask her to explain the punch line.
吉爾沒聽懂那個笑話，但為了保全面子，她一直笑個不停，同時希望不會有人請她解釋笑點在哪

例：
