do young people take their parents' advice when choosing a major ?

well it is really hard to give a definite yes or no , actually it is?up to?different young people whose understandings to what they are vary .

1st?as for those who are clearly aware of where they shine or suck , of course not , they would never take parents’?advice?into account?when choosing a major , as everything in the world is changing so fast and parents don't necessarily know what really suits their children , for example ,....

2nd?however?in terms of?youngsters who just finish high school graduation who don't know anything about universities or details of a major , maybe taking parents' advice is?not a bad idea?since parents have way more social experience than kids do , for instance ,....
