Two Buckets 兩個水桶的故事

There?was?once?an?old?and?deep?well.

從前有一口又舊又深的井。

People?got?water?by?dropping?a?bucket?tied?to?a?rope.

人們把拴在繩子上的水桶掉去井里取水。

The?rope?passed?over?a?wheel?just?above?the?well.

繩子繞過水井正上方的一個輪子。

On?the?other?side?of?the?rope?was?another?bucket.

繩子的另一邊是另一個水桶。

A?strong?pull?brought?one?bucket?to?the?top?while?the?other?down?to?the?water.

用力的一拉把一個水桶拉倒上面，另一個水桶掉進水里。

They?always?passed?each?other?on?the?way?up?and?down,?but?never?had?time?to?speak.

兩個水桶總是在上上下下的路上擦肩而過，卻從來沒有時間說話。

At?last,?the?rope?became?worn.?So?a?new?rope?had?to?be?put?in?its?place.

最后，繩子磨破了。所以必須在原來的地方放一根新繩子。

While?this?was?being?done,?the?two?buckets?were?left?standing?together?near?the?well.

在換繩子的過程中，兩只水桶一起立在井邊。

"What?a?boring?life?we?have!"?said?one?bucket?to?the?other.?"I?am?quite?tired?of?it.?No?matter?how?full?we?come?up,?we?are?always?sent?down?empty."

“我們的生活多無聊??！” 一只水桶對另一只水桶說?！拔乙呀?jīng)厭倦了。無論我們上來的時候多么滿，下去的時候總是空的?！?/p>

But?the?other?bucket?laughed?and?said,?"What?a?funny?way?you?have?of?looking?at?things!?Don't?you?see?that?whenever?we?are?sent?down?empty,?we?always?come?up?full?"

但是另一只水桶笑著說：“你看待事物的方式真奇怪！難道你看不見，無論什么時候，我們被放下去時是空的，上來的時候總是滿的嗎?

Boys?and?girls?sometimes?talk?like?these?two?buckets.?You?may?hear?one?of?them?say,?"Just?as?we?are?having?a?good?game,?we?are?made?to?stop?and?go?to?work?again.

孩子們有時說話像這兩個桶。你可能會聽到他們中的一個說：“就在我們玩得正開心的時候，不得不停下來去繼續(xù)工作?！?/p>

"Yes,"?the?other?will?reply,?"but?as?soon?as?work?is?over,?we?always?get?to?go?out?and?have?fun?again."

“是的，” 另一個人會回答，“但是工作一結(jié)束，我們就可以出去玩了?！?/p>

There?are?two?ways?of?looking?at?things.?If?you?want?to?be?happy,?look?at?the?bright?side.
