第四節(jié) 過去分詞用作定語時的翻譯
英語中的過去分詞用作定語翻譯成漢語時,可以譯成定語、表語、狀語、謂語、
名詞等。
4.1 譯 成 定 語
過去分詞可譯成對應(yīng)的漢語動詞并在其后加上“的”用作定語。
1. They were wanted criminals, drug smugglers, money smugglers, illegal immigrants
—and, yes, a few were suspected terrorists.
他們是通緝犯、毒品走私犯、金錢走私犯、非法移民——而且,一點不假,有
幾個是恐怖分子嫌犯。
