Real best-selling books go for around ?500 - ?1000 in India at legitimate book retailers like Crosswords. Much much higher than their counterfeit counterparts. But for the average Indian, the price of legitimate books is simply too expensive and they cannot afford them - hence the large illegitimate market for counterfeit books at black markets across India.
