What kinds of machines are there in people’s homes?

There is a wide range of Appliances in people's homes

In China, in the past, people were poor.

If a household had a washing machine or a tv set, they were rich, whereas nowadays buying such things is a piece of cake.

And nowadays people usually equip many modern necessities in their home, such air conditioners, microwaves.

The list can go on and on. I mean, all sorts of things to benefit their life

I don't know whether laptops, computers can be categorized as machines. ?

Apparently, they are indispensable in households

What are the differences between the young and the old in their attitudes towards machines?

Well, it's a rather odd question.

I don't think there is huge disparity in terms of the attitudes between the elderly and young people, actually.

People nowadays ?rely on machines and technology in every aspect and they can facilitate our life to a large extent.

During our work, a lot of work couldn't be done without computers

Similarly, without public transport such as cars ,buses ,trains ,we couldn't move

If you refer to modern technology, then I would say compared to the elderly , young people are more open because they are more adaptable to the changes of machines

What kinds of professions require people to use machines?

Well, I suppose nowadays all jobs are more or less related to operating machines

For those who work in offices, they deal with computers all day

Also for those who work as waiters or waitress, If they work in a big restaurant, they may have to deal with the automatic ordering system

when people order dishes ,they will carry a pad which is also a machine

It is said that machines will replace human jobs.

I agree, ?yes, they will replace some, ?but not all .

Will many people’s work by done by robot in the future?

Well as I discussed, my opinions are mixed, meaning some jobs will be replaced whereas others are not

Those repetitive, physical demanding jobs such as serving jobs can be done by robots

Also some dangerous jobs such as deep sea exploration also can be replaced by robots because robots don't complain

On the other ,they can work longer hours ,meaning they can improve the overall working efficiency

However, other jobs which are intelligence demanding and interaction oriented can never ever be replaced by AI

Take teaching as an example to illustrate.

Teaching is a process through which teachers and students have simultaneous communication

Even though during this pandemic students have to do online learning ,physical teachers still have their position when this pandemic is over
