大家好！我又有新的填詞啦！這次的填詞，我選擇了音樂劇《悲慘世界》的經(jīng)典曲目《Master of the House》，也是劇中角色德納第夫婦的代表曲目之一。

在這里就《悲慘世界》原著、音樂劇的編排和角色本身說上幾句：《悲慘世界》歷來被認(rèn)為是浪漫主義與現(xiàn)實(shí)主義相結(jié)合的經(jīng)典著作，被譽(yù)為“人類苦難的百科全書”，而由其為藍(lán)本改編的音樂劇《悲慘世界》同樣繼承了原著中沉郁的底色，全劇都被時(shí)代的緊張感籠罩。因此，與其他音樂劇相比，這部音樂劇中的大多數(shù)曲目都顯得較為嚴(yán)肅，帶有一種悲劇色彩，清新明快的曲目較少，《Master of the House》便是一首難得的洋溢著喜劇色彩的曲目，令人耳目一新。也正因如此，每當(dāng)我重溫大悲音樂劇時(shí)，它都是我必聽的曲目之一。

然而，當(dāng)這喜劇的主角是兩個(gè)最大的反派人物時(shí)，喜劇本身也就帶上了一股悲劇色彩：德納第夫婦是19世紀(jì)上半葉法國市儈的典型代表，貪財(cái)、自私自利、唯利是圖是他們的人生信條。在原著中，許多苦難都由他們引發(fā)：小珂賽特飽受虐待（在音樂劇中，這首曲子的前一首就是描寫小珂賽特悲慘生活的《Castle on a Cloud》）；芳汀被蒙騙得出賣了秀發(fā)、門牙和肉體，最終失去了生命；德納第后來的強(qiáng)盜同伙“鐵牙”偽裝成革命者，在街壘里槍殺無辜的老人……可以說，德納第夫婦是當(dāng)時(shí)法國社會惡人群體的一個(gè)縮影。而也就是這樣的角色，成為了喜劇橋段的敘述者，其他正面角色（冉阿讓、ABC、愛潘妮等）卻承擔(dān)了悲劇性的橋段，這時(shí)，19世紀(jì)上半葉法國社會的不合理性也就顯露出來：貧苦的人們唱著《At the End of the Day》，訴說自己的憤懣與無奈；懷揣光明理想和愛國熱情的ABC“為了新世界如太陽升起”，把熱血灑在祖國的土地上。而德納第夫婦這樣的始作俑者卻在臨近結(jié)尾時(shí)得意洋洋地唱道：

“Clear away the barricades and we're still there!”

這無疑是對那個(gè)時(shí)代最大的諷刺。而且，即使拋開音樂劇對原著的改編不談，在原著中，德納第太太雖然死在監(jiān)獄里，但德納第和他的二女兒阿茲瑪最后到了美洲，成為了雙手沾滿鮮血的黑奴販子（考慮到19世紀(jì)的美洲有著相當(dāng)大的發(fā)展空間，他們最終在新大陸發(fā)家致富的幾率很高），這何嘗不是更大的諷刺呢？在我看來，《悲慘世界》的悲慘，不僅體現(xiàn)在冉阿讓的十九年鐵窗歲月里，也不僅體現(xiàn)在芳汀、馬白夫、伽弗洛什等人物的悲劇性結(jié)局中，還體現(xiàn)在，即使在法蘭西的土地上，為著追求平等與博愛的革命已經(jīng)進(jìn)行了一次又一次，這片土地卻少有改變，男子、女子和兒童依然籠罩在潦倒、墮落、羸弱的陰影下。這也許才是最大的悲劇吧。當(dāng)然，雨果先生和音樂劇的監(jiān)制仍然保有浪漫主義的情懷：原著中，ABC雖然失敗了，但畢竟為他們的國家?guī)砹讼Ｍ?，馬呂斯和珂賽特也接過了冉阿讓手中的燭臺，成為了改變這片土地的新一代力量；音樂劇的終曲，所有為街壘獻(xiàn)身的革命戰(zhàn)士的靈魂在天堂里唱響了自由的歌曲，讓人們期待著“明日曙光”。這也就是希望之所在吧。
