4-year Gragudte Teaching Fellowships?(GTFs) in Accuunting and?Finance
The Graduate Teaching Fellowships provide an opportunity for Applicants with a Master’s degree (preferably a Distinction grade) in a relevant subject and a strong commitment to research, to combine studying for a PhD in Accounting and Finance with the acquisition of teaching experience.
Participating in the Scheme will enable GTFs to attain funding for their doctoral research whilst receiving training and mentoring to become rounded academics. In addition to conducting their research, they will have the opportunity to contribute to ULMS’s dynamic research culture and to the delivery of an outstanding learning experience for students in the School.
In year one of the programme, fellows are required to demonstrate progress in developing their research skills and knowledge by completing 4 PhD-level modules in Accounting and Finance. Further research training opportunities are provided via our partner Universities in the North West Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership. Year one also requires completion of a teacher training programme offered by the University of Liverpool primarily through shadowing and mentored classroom involvement. Successful candidates will be required to complete a total of 300 hours of teaching during their programme, alongside the doctoral research thesis.
GTFs will receive an annual stipend of £15,609* plus a fee waiver and will have access to student support funds in line with the wider doctoral training provision at ULMS. These fellowships are open to all nationalities. Overseas students will receive a fee waiver at the Home rate but a top up payment may be available subject to budget.
