DORIAN is a new musical theater work based on Oscar Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray"

It was workshopped, rehearsed and performed in collaboration with the West Virginia University School of Theatre and Dance.

The show contains adult themes and content, including minor violence and language, that may be unsuitable for younger viewers.

(Narrator)Dorian Gray was the epitome of the struggling artist. A trope he had to desperately escape.

While he prided himself on his youthful charm and well-known attractiveness,

Dorian remained anxious, not knowing if his career as an artist would ever take off.

But one day, Dorian got his shot. He landed a meeting with Henry Callahan;

a famous and well-to-do commissioner of only the finest works for his art gallery in downtown Manhattan.

This was it. This was Dorian's ticket to escape...

(Henry)So, tell me about yourself, Dorian. how doesn a gorgeous, young man such as yourself end up being friends with someone like that?

(Dorian)Well, I knew them as Professor Hallward for four years.

(Dorian)Got my Bachelor's in Art Design from NYU and here I am.

(Henry)No Master's degree? No Graduate education?

(Dorian)Couldn't afford it.

(Basil)Well, you might have if you kept in touch with-

(Dorian)My parents never cared about my education, I doubt they would have shelled out the money for two more years in school...

(Henry)Oh, family drama! Well, you're not getting any younger Dorian, so what do you plan on doing for yourself?

(Dorian)I'm only 27.
