My name is Kim Namjoon,also known as RM,the leader of the group BTS.It is an incredible honor to be invited to an occasion with such significance for today’s young generation.

Last November,BTS launched the LOVE MYSELF campaign with UNICEF,build in our belief that true love first begins with loving myself.We were partnering with UNICEF END VIOLENCE program to protect children and young people all over the world from violence.And our fans have become a major part of this campaign with their action and with their enthusiasm .We truly have the best fans in the world.

And I’d like to begin by talking about myself.I was born in Ilsan,a city near Soul,south Korea.It is a really beautiful place with a lake,hills,and even an annul flower festival.I spent a very happy childhood there,and was just an ordinary boy.I used to look up at the night sky and wonder,and I used to dream the dreams of a boy.I used to imagine that I was a superhero who could save the world.And in the intro to one of our early albums there’s a line that says,my heart stopped when I was maybe 9 or 10.Looking back,I think that’s when I began to worry about what other people thought of me and starting seeing myself through their eyes.I stopped looking up at the night skies,the stars,I stopped daydreaming.Instead?,I just try to jam myself into the modes that other people made. Soon,I began to shut up my own voice,and started to listen to the voices of others.No one called out my name,and either did I.My heart stopped and my eyes closed shut.So,like this,I,we,all lost our names.We became like ghosts.But I had one sanctuary and that was music.There was a small voice inside of me that said,wake up man and listen to yourself.But it took me quite a long time to hear music calling my real name.Even after making the decision to join BTS,there were a lot of hurdles,some people might not believe but most people thought we were hopeless.And sometimes I just wanted to quite.But I think I was very lucky that I didn’t give it all up.and I’m sure that I and we will keep stumbling and falling like this.BTS has become artist performing in those huge stadiums and selling millions of albums right now,but I am still an ordinary,24-year-old guy.If there’s anything that I have achieved,it was only possible that I have my other BTS members right by my side and because of the love and the support that our ARMY fans all over the world made for us .

And maybe I made a mistake yesterday,but yesterday’s me is still me.Today I am who I am with all of my faults and my mistakes,tomorrow I might be a tiny bit wiser,and that’ll be me,too.These faults and mistakes are what I am,making up the brightest stars and the constellation of my life.I have come to love myself for who I am,for who I was,and for who I hope to become.

I’d like to say the one last thing.After releasing our LOVE YOURSELF albums,and launching the LOVE YOURSELF campaign,we started to hear remarkable stories from our fans all over the world how our message help them overcome their hardships in life and start loving themselves.Those stories constantly remind us of our responsibility.So let’s take all one more step,we have learned to love ourselves,so now I urge you to speak yourself.I’d like to ask all of you,what is your name,what excites you and makes your heart beat,tell me your story.I wanna hear your voice and I wanna hear your conviction.No matter who you are,where you from,your skin color?,your gender identity,just speak yourself.Find your name and find your voice by speaking yourself.

上個11月，BTS和UNICEF發(fā)起了“LOVE YOURSELF”運動，我們相信首先愛自己才是真愛的源頭。我們和UNICEF“終結暴力”項目合作，旨在保護全世界的兒童和少年免受暴力侵害。我們的粉絲憑他們的行動和熱情成為了這個運動的主力。我們真的有著全世界最好的粉絲。

在開頭，我想說說我自己。我出生在日山，南韓首爾附近的一個城市，一個有山有水，每年還有鮮花節(jié)的非常美麗的地方。我當時只是一個普通的男孩，在那里度過了非常幸福的童年。我以前總是抬頭望著夜空思考，有著男孩子都有的夢想——我幻想成為拯救世界的超級英雄。

在我們早期的專輯的intro里有歌詞提到，我在大概九、十歲的時候心臟停跳過?；叵肫饋?，我覺得那就是我開始在乎別人對我的看法，透過他們的眼睛看我自己的時候。我不再仰望夜空和星星，我不再做夢，而是努力把自己塞進別人規(guī)定的模板里。很快，我開始封閉自己的聲音，去聽別人的想法。沒人在意真正的我，我自己也不。我的心跳停止，眼睛也閉上了。所以像這樣，我，我們，都沒有了自我，我們都變成了幽靈。但是我還有一塊圣地，那就是音樂。我的身體里有一個微小的聲音對我說，醒醒吧，聽聽你內(nèi)心的聲音。但是我用音樂找到自我也花了很長一段時間。即使在我決定加入BTS之后還是困難重重，可能你們不會相信，當時大部分人都認為我們沒有希望，有些時候我也想過退出，但我覺得我很幸運沒有放棄，我也很確信我們會一直這樣跌跌撞撞，一次次摔倒?，F(xiàn)在BTS成為了在巨大的場館表演的藝人，售出幾百萬張專輯，但我依然是一個24歲的普通年輕人。如果說我有什么成就，那都是因為有現(xiàn)在在我旁邊的BTS成員和我一起，有全世界的阿米給我們的愛和支持。

可能昨天我犯了錯，但昨天的我也是我。今天的我是以我所有的錯誤和缺點鑄成的，明天我可能更聰明了一點，那也是我。這些失敗和缺點是我的一部分，它們成為了我人生中最明亮的星和星座。我變得能愛現(xiàn)在的我，過去的我，還有我希望成為的將來的那個我了。

我最后還想說一件事，在發(fā)布LOVE YOURSELF專輯，以及發(fā)起“LOVE YOURSELF”運動后，我們開始從全世界的粉絲那里聽到了各種了不起的故事，關于我們傳達出的信息是如何幫助他們度過生活的難關，讓他們開始愛自己的。這些故事不斷的讓我們意識到我們身上的責任。所以讓我們再進一步吧，我們學會了要愛自己，現(xiàn)在我呼吁大家為自己發(fā)聲。我想問你們每一個人你們的名字，是什么支撐著你們，使你們心臟鼓動，告訴我你們的故事。我想要聽見你們的聲音，聽見你們的信念。不管你是誰，來自哪里，是何種膚色，也無論性別，只要你們說出來。

我是金南俊，也是BTS的RM。我是一個偶像，也是一個出身于韓國小鎮(zhèn)的藝術家。就像大多數(shù)人一樣，我在一生中犯過很多意外的錯誤，我有很多缺點，還有更多的苦惱。但是我會盡全力為自己打氣，我開始一點一點，漸漸的愛自己了。你的名字是什么？說出你自己吧。
