• A sonata or variations by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, or Schubert (for a prescreening recording, Applicants should provide at least two contrasting movements; for a live audition, Applications should prepare an entire work)

• A larger 19th century Romantic work

• A 20th- or 21st century composition (for a multi-movement work, provide at least two contrasting movements)

• One movement of an unaccompanied Bach sonata or partita (A.D., M.M.A., and D.M.A. Applicants must provide two movements)

• First movement of a Mozart concerto

• Any Paganini caprice

• A short standalone piece of the Applicant’s choice (from any genre or style) that is not a movement from a sonata or concerto
