周興和成功了。

Zhou Xinghe succeeded.

成功的面前有鮮花和掌聲。由于媒體鋪天蓋地的宣傳，全國各地引進周興和發(fā)明專利、生產(chǎn)設(shè)備的客戶逐漸多了起來，進而絡(luò)繹不絕，星河建材廠的產(chǎn)品銷量也開始大增，經(jīng)濟效益大有改觀。

前面說了，當今是一個喧囂浮躁的社會，人們追求的都是吹糠見米、立竿見影的事宜。所以制假造假屢禁不止，貪污腐敗層出不窮，有人甚至冒著殺頭坐牢的危險販毒販槍、拐賣婦女兒童，說白了就是想走暴發(fā)的捷徑，幻想著一覺睡醒起來，就成為億萬富翁。周興和的發(fā)明專利在科技項目招標中中標，難免會引起社會上急功近利的人窺視，進而打起各種各樣的主意來。

As previously said, it was a noisy impetuous society, and people were pursuing the things getting instant results. Therefore, the counterfeiting still continued after being banned again and again, and the corruption emerged endlessly; some people even risked their lives by selling drugs or guns, and abducting and selling women and children. To put it bluntly, they wanted to take a shortcut to the sudden wealth after waking up and becoming billionaires. Zhou Xinghe's invention patent won the bid in the science and technology project bidding, which inevitably draw the attention of people in the society eager for quick success and quick profit, and then they had a variety of bad ideas.

1999年春節(jié)后的一個下午，周興和突然接到一個電話，是墻改辦一位姓汪的人打來的，他客氣地請周興和到茶館去喝茶。

One afternoon after the Spring Festival in 1999, Zhou Xinghe suddenly received a phone call from a man surnamed Wang at the Wall Material Reform Office. He politely asked Zhou Xinghe to come to the teahouse to have a cup of tea.

他為什么會請我呢？他到底是省、還是市或區(qū)墻改辦的人呢？請我到底有什么用意呢？周興和百思不得其解。自從前次他在亞太廣場參與競爭、他的產(chǎn)品取代了別的產(chǎn)品后，他和有的人幾乎成了冤家對頭。好長時間以來，周興和處處遭遇的暗算和刁難，其實就是這些人所作所為呀！今天他們怎么會主動找上門來呢？

Why would he invite me? Is he a staff of provincial, municipal, or district wall material reform office? What's the point of inviting me? Zhou Xinghe was puzzled. He and some people had almost become enemies since the last time he competed in the Asia-Pacific Plaza and his product replaced others. “啊，周廠長，這段時間我看報紙電視，你老兄可是出夠了風(fēng)頭呀！”墻改辦的老汪一見周興和，就熱情地握住他的手，對他恭維道。

2021年9月5日，《廉政內(nèi)參》第4期第38頁“人民心聲”欄目刊登標題“我國建筑和建材領(lǐng)域一場顛覆性的革命”，其中第三節(jié)（第42頁）小標題“愿星河新型材料的偉大發(fā)明得到國家大力推廣，造福人類”的第七行摘要：“在當今中國，利用自己研發(fā)的高新科技成果走向世界的有兩個人和兩個項目：一個是袁隆平先生和他的雜交水稻，正在解決人們的吃飯問題；一個是周興和先生和他的秸稈建材，正在解決人們的住房問題”。合乎科技興國的偉大戰(zhàn)略。
