DREAD AURA |> "A by-product of MADNESS. Due to an intense, unstable ratio of MADNESS to DETERMINATION, Sans emits a constant aura of Dread. This effect is why so many children had fallen into MT. Ebott over the course of the story, luring them as a means of escape. Dread Aura is completely unpredictable as it is subjective. It is typically most effective on those with trauma or intense negativity, or those who are highly positive in nature. Common effects felt due to the aura include schizophrenia, nausea, paranoia and even heart attacks." MADNESS |> "MADNESS is a toxic byproduct of DETERMINATION. It only appears in subjects with DETERMINATION whom are affected by past trauma or have mentally debilitating conditions such as schizophrenia and psychopathy. The concentration ratio of MADNESS to DETERMINATION is what determines the subject's mental health, and can also factor into other byproducts that come with having MADNESS, like Dread Aura and MADNESS-infused attacks. Too much MADNESS can end up completely destroying one's psyche, in a state known as "FINAL INSANITY", and cause MADNESS to diffuse into their very physical bodies, creating a hideous amalgamation. BLASTERS |> "Can summon Insanity Blasters, a more powerful version of the Gaster Blaster, with a red/purple beam and red/purple glaring eyes." MADNESS-INFUSED ATTACKS |> "A byproduct of MADNESS: (HOLY MOTHER OF GOD BLASTER) The HMoG Blasters are HUGE, and can grow to just about the size of a small moon at their biggest potential, and radiate a constant lethal energy of MADNESS. To fire one of these costs Sans a huge chunk of his own willpower, due to the raw power it needs. Just firing over 1 of these is enough to kill him alone. The amount of energy that the HMoG outputs is not dependent on size, and the beam is more concentrated the smaller it gets. (EXP BONES) The EXP Bones are small but INCREDIBLY lethal. On touch, it will administer a type of poison known as LV Poison. LV Poison is caused by MADNESS, the toxic DETERMINATION, and will cause your body's health to deteriorate rapidly. DREAD AURA |> "A byproduct of MADNESS. Due to an intense, unstable ratio of MADNESS to DETERMINATION, Sans emits a constant Aura of DREAD. Those who are lesser can fall victim to this, suffering from effects such as paranoia, schizophrenia and psychosis. They may even have seizures, and victims have often documented seeing their worst fears ignite into reality and ‘eat them whole’, drastically weakening their state by around 50%. While this primarily affects beings of lesser power, beings who are stronger can also be affected, just far lesser." SENSUAL ENHANCEMENTS |> "A byproduct of MADNESS. Sans can ‘sense’ beings throughout timelines, as well as timelines themselves. The more power output that a being or timeline possesses, the more clearly Sans can feel it. His senses were also improved, from his hearing and touch, to his own smell and eyesight, like a rabid dog." LOW HEALING |> "Taught by Rose, Sans can use this ability to slowly, but surely, passively recover lost HP. He cannot use this ability on any other being."TELEPORTATION |> "This ability allows him to warp across terrain in a matter of milliseconds. Energy expenditure is dependent on distance traveled." WORMHOLE MANIPULATION |> "Can warp spacetime so drastically that it creates holes that lead to other timelines and dimensions, can also be used to attack and cut." AU HOPPING |> "Subdivision of the Wormhole Manipulation ability." AURA MANIPULATION |> "Taught by Rose, he can utilise Aura and use it to clone his attacks, such as making more axes, exploding, creating orbs of deadly energy, and even slightly flying by hovering without using telekinesis." COMPLETE UNIVERSE DESTRUCTION |> "The Axe can be used, if charged enough, to detonate the surface of the timeline, causing a chain reaction which eventually results in the timeline's collapse. HOWEVER, this comes at a HEAVY toll to Sans's body and mind. This ranges from excruciating headaches that last for days, to complete paralysation for up to a month. This is dependent on a timeline's total mass (story, locations, characters, etc), which will also determine exactly how much EXP he will gain from the timeline itself. If this ability is used incorrectly on a timeline large enough that Sans cannot possibly absorb, then the side effects can actually kill him completely." SAVE FILE DESTRUCTION |> "Can ‘break’ DETERMINATION saves using his own DETERMINATION and hijack or corrupt them. This ability however is not reliable due to his Monster origin, and he does not know how to fully use it. As such he can only corrupt saves for now." EMOTIONAL & MENTAL STATE DEGRADATION |> "Subdivision of the Dread Aura ability. This also comes at a detriment to Sans himself." SEMI-HIGH TELEKINESIS |> "Telekinesis so powerful it can shift around ghost type beings and rip apart Sans’s surroundings. Strangely enough, however, it cannot damage, no matter how hard he moves things." !MADNESS OVERLOAD! |> "A byproduct of MADNESS. Within the binds of FINAL INSANITY, Sans’s form begins to shift into an unprocessable monstrosity, slowly collapsing in on itself as time goes by as it is highly unstable. The DREAD AURA grows to become overpowering, and MADNESS will now osmose into Sans’s monster body, taking over his own magic and becoming all he is. Every attack he makes will be of the LV kind, and he cannot control his own actions anymore. When this effect is in place, so much as looking at Sans for an extended period of time will cause your mind to collapse into MADNESS." Trivia Sans has a fear of carrots, and hates the colour blue because it reminds him of the Genocide Route. Unlike most AUs, Sans's bones are red, not white. His first official theme was made by Jinify. Sans' 'HMoG' Blasters are also often referred to as CHUNG. During Sans' free time with Rose other then getting drunk, the two often play board games with each other As shown in the main story, Sans crafted THE AXE out of spare parts found in Alphys' lab. Because of this, THE AXE appears to be rather unprofessionally made as Sans isnt a Blacksmith As stated by TheCh1knLord, Sans' forehead scar (obtained from being grazed by the first human) is mainly metaphorical for that no matter what he does to forget, he'll always have a reminder of that day slapped onto his face.
