1. Show you're upset: Why would you say that? Fine! Whatever! You always do this
2. You disagree: No way. What are you talking about? I couldn't disagree more. Don't you think you're exaggerating a little.

to put your foot down: firmly oppose sth
3. You kind of agree: I'll give you that. You're not wrong. That may be true,but...
4. Make a suggestion: Try this on for size. What about this...? Now hear me out...
5. Making a point. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Boom! You know I'm right.
6. Admitting someone is right. That's very true. I can't argue with that. You got me there.
7. Ending the argument. Let's stop fighting. Let's agree to disagree. We're not getting anywhere.
8. Compromise. I have a solution that might work. Let's make a deal.
