人呼吸道合胞病毒（HRSV）屬于肺炎病毒科，正肺病毒屬，非節(jié)段性單股負(fù)鏈RNA病毒。HRSV主要引起呼吸道感染，已經(jīng)成為嬰幼兒和5歲以下兒童呼吸道感染住院的主要原因之一，也是成年人、老年人以及免疫缺陷患者嚴(yán)重呼吸道疾病的主要病原體之一。 目前，臨床尚無有效的HRSV疫苗或治療方法。 HRSV有A、B兩個(gè)亞型及多個(gè)基因型，不同亞型及基因型流行病學(xué)特征不同。 本研究對HRSV病原學(xué)、分子流行病學(xué)、疫苗研究及HRSV檢測分型技術(shù)等進(jìn)行綜述，為HRSV疫苗研究及相關(guān)呼吸道傳染病的防治和監(jiān)測預(yù)警提供重要的理論依據(jù)。

HRSV感染后，潛伏期通常為2-8天，臨床表現(xiàn)以呼吸道感染癥狀為主，早期HRSV感染大部分局限于上呼吸道，臨床表現(xiàn)如鼻塞、流涕、咳嗽和聲音嘶啞等。HRSV感染患兒大多數(shù)癥狀會在1-2周內(nèi)自行消失，少部分可以發(fā)展為下呼吸道感染，主要表現(xiàn)為毛細(xì)支氣管炎或肺炎，多見于2歲以下嬰幼兒，臨床癥狀包括咳嗽、喘息，極少部分進(jìn)一步加重出現(xiàn)呼吸急促和喂養(yǎng)困難等，嚴(yán)重者可發(fā)展為呼吸衰竭。

各年齡段人群均可感染HRSV，但HRSV感染的高危人群主要集中在兒童、老年人和免疫功能低下人群。

在傳播途徑方面，有癥狀的HRSV感染者和無癥狀的隱性感染者都可傳播病毒，通常可通過以下途徑傳播：一是接觸傳播，如鼻咽黏膜或眼黏膜接觸到含病毒的分泌物或污染物；二是近距離接觸患者咳嗽或打噴嚏等。北京大學(xué)人民醫(yī)院呼吸內(nèi)科主任高占成表示，對于易感人群的預(yù)防，要注意勤洗手，避免不潔凈的手觸摸眼、口、鼻，養(yǎng)成良好的個(gè)人衛(wèi)生習(xí)慣，及時(shí)佩戴口罩，減少出入人員密集場所。
