From my perspective, gap year is able to bring great amount of advantages to high school graduates. Firstly, gap year helps students gain more social experiences. Students without a gap year probably have no idea about how to contact and understand the society. For example, they are not able to follow some social rules that are inconspicuous?and this will bring some troubles to them. Since they enter the society, they may be at a loss. By contrast, students with a gap year have more opportunities to adapt to the society and cultivate their independence. They can have a part-time job in the restaurant or in a Publishing house. Due to the gap year, these students are able to broaden their horizons and get deeper insight into the world. They will know how the society operating correctly. This kind of knowledge will help them adapt into the society more effectually.?Furthermore, gap year provides students a space to consider and make the final decision whether they are suitable for university studying or not.

Just as the old saying goes, “Every coin has two sides.” Students who has a gap year may find it difficult to re-adapt to the traditional academic environment.
