按合金
按合金系劃分,可分為非合金銅和合金銅.非合金銅包括高純銅、韌銅、脫氧銅、無氧銅等,習慣上,人們將非合金銅稱為紫銅或純銅,也叫紅銅,而其他銅合金則屬于合金銅。我國和俄羅斯把合金銅分為黃銅、青銅和白銅,然后在大類中劃分小的合金系。
按功能
按功能劃分,有導電導熱用銅合金(主要有非合金化銅和微合金化銅)、結構用銅合金(幾乎包括所有銅合金)、耐蝕銅合金(主要有錫黃銅、鋁黃銅、各種不白銅、鋁青銅、鈦青銅等)耐磨銅合金(主要有含鉛、錫、鋁、錳等元素復雜黃銅、鋁青銅等)、易切削銅合金(銅-鉛、銅-碲、銅-銻等合金)、 性銅合金(主要有銻青銅、鋁青銅、鈹青銅、鈦青銅等)阻尼銅合金(高錳銅合金等)、藝術銅合金(純銅、簡單單銅、錫青銅、鋁青銅、白銅等)。顯然,許多銅合金都具有多生功能。
