：Dear mom. We had such a wird, mysterious, spectacular day. My heart is still pounding. Totoro gave us a wonderful present.

： It was wrapped in a bamboo leaf and tied with a ribbon made of grass. As soon as we got home, we opened it. It was filled with acorns.

• 它被一片竹葉包裹著，用草做的絲帶綁著。我們一到家就打開了。里面裝滿了橡子。

：We wanted to grow a beautiful forest with the acorns, so we planted them in your garden out back, but…They just won't grow.

• 我們想用橡子種植一片美麗的森林，所以我們把它們種在你的后花園里，但是……它們還沒(méi)有發(fā)芽。

：Mei watches them all day, every day, waiting for them to sprout, and it's starting to make her crabby. Here's a picture of Mei as a crab.

• 梅每天都盯著它們，等待它們發(fā)芽，這開始讓她變得暴躁起來(lái)。這是一張梅作為螃蟹的照片。
