?(Chinese: 後漢書, Pinyin:?Hòu hàn shū), chronicles the history of the Eastern Han dynasty (25 – 220 AD). The book was compiled by Fan Ye (Chinese: 范曄, 398?– 446 AD) in the 5th century during the Northern and Southern dynasties period, using a number of earlier histories and documents as sources.

Yuan Shao?(Chinese: 袁紹,? Pinyin: Yuán Shào, ? – 202 AD), was a Chinese military general, politician, and warlord who lived in the late Eastern Han dynasty. He occupied the northern territories of China during the civil wars that occurred prior to the Three Kingdoms period (220 – 280 AD).
