奧斯汀·弗里曼（R. Austin Freeman，1862年4月11日-1943年9月28日）

英國(guó)偵探小說(shuō)家，最杰出的成就是創(chuàng)造了以法醫(yī)學(xué)偵探約翰·埃文林·桑戴克（Dr.John Thorndyke）為主角的系列故事，并開創(chuàng)了“反敘式偵探小說(shuō)”（inverted detective story, 指的是小說(shuō)開篇先敘述案件發(fā)生的經(jīng)過(guò)，后經(jīng)偵探推演并找到真相的敘事結(jié)構(gòu)）,也就是我們現(xiàn)在常說(shuō)的‘倒敘推理’。
