1??on the heels of
heel指“腳后跟”，on the heels of字面意思為“在…的腳后跟上”，引申為“在...之后”。
《巴倫周刊》中有篇文章講到「中國(guó)央行降息以刺激經(jīng)濟(jì)」，文中說(shuō)：
The move（n.舉措） comes on the heels of disappointing data for retail sales and industrial production.

rear指“后部”，rearview window指汽車上的“后視鏡”，這個(gè)短語(yǔ)字面意思是“…在后視鏡中”，引申為“在…之后”。
《巴倫周刊》中有文章講到「疫情后口紅銷量增加」，文中說(shuō)：

這個(gè)短語(yǔ)意為“在…之后”，尤指在不愉快事件之后。
看一個(gè)《衛(wèi)報(bào)》的句子：
Puerto Rico’s remaining schoolkids struggle in the aftermath of hurricanes and earthquakes
在颶風(fēng)和地震之后，波多黎各的學(xué)生們?nèi)匀辉谄D難中掙扎。

4??in the wake of
?wake指船只航行時(shí)的“尾流，水波”，in the wake of字面意思是“在…的尾流中”，比喻“在…之后”。
今年2月的《經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)人》有文章講到「為預(yù)防槍擊事件，美國(guó)多個(gè)城市實(shí)行青少年宵禁」，題目是這么寫(xiě)的：
In the wake of violence American cities resort to youth curfews.
暴力事件過(guò)后，為了維護(hù)社會(huì)秩序，美國(guó)城市開(kāi)始實(shí)行青少年宵禁。
