奧斯華是一只可愛的兔子，那時(shí)因?yàn)槿A特迪士尼先生希望這只兔子可以為自己的事業(yè)帶來好運(yùn)氣，于是將這只兔子取名為“幸運(yùn)兔子奧斯華”（Oswald, the Lucky Rabbit）。華特在1927年到1928年間制作了26部無聲奧斯華動(dòng)畫短片，賣給并交給 Charles Mintz 賺錢，而 Mintz 這位先生把電影交給環(huán)球（Universal）影片公司發(fā)行，可是華特沒有想到，后來竟然丟掉了這個(gè)人物以及這些影片的版權(quán)，自此華特在奧斯華身上吸取教訓(xùn)（以后迪士尼公司一直非常重視人物及影片版權(quán)資產(chǎn)的保護(hù)和運(yùn)營），并開始制作米老鼠。后來 Walter Lantz 開始制作奧斯華作品，而且迪士尼的早期奧斯華影片后來也由版權(quán)所有者環(huán)球公司加上了聲音。奧斯華是迪士尼第一個(gè)開展授權(quán)商品業(yè)務(wù)的人物。最終，Oswald于2006年回歸Disney。(但是至今26部動(dòng)畫還沒有找全）
