Minji will invite you for a virtual sailing trip.?

Through the experience, you will learn some basic knowledge needed for sailing in physics, geography, astronomy, and meteorology. We will practice doing some sailing knots together.

This trip will help you gain a better understanding of British history and outdoor culture. Also, Minji will talk about the particular joy and challenges of managing a classic boat during a modern age.?

Who's telling the story?

Minji lived in Shanghai, Hong Kong and now lives in London, UK. She has an MBA degree from the University of Cambridge and a master’s degree in Education Technology from the University of British Columbia. She works with cross-cultural exchange and communication online.?

Minji takes on sailing five years ago. She is a member and auditor for?seascamp, a private non profit organisation to manage a classic sailing boat.?

Sea Scamp was built in 1936 by Abeking & Rasmussen’. She was one of the 50-square-metre yachts built for the Luftwaffe in Germany for their navigation training and recreation on the Baltic.

Then in 1984 Tony Venables and John Kapp bought her on an impulse for about ￡9000. The Sea Scamp Syndicate was subsequently set up to sail and maintain her.

Sea Scamp is registered with the National Historic Ships UK and flies their ensign.
