個(gè)人陳述:如何降低健康風(fēng)險(xiǎn)
How to reduce health risks?
Nowadays, with the rapid development of economy, the material wealth and living standard of most people have been improved considerably. Yet, there is no denying that an increasing number of people are suffering from health risks, which can’t be ignored. Hence, it is high time that some action should be taken to reduce health risks.
In the first place, mosthealth risks, as is known to all, are caused by immoderate diet and unhealthy living habit. So, the effective ways to keep fit are eating sensibly, doing exercise regularly and getting sufficient sleep. As a popular saying goes, an apple a day keeps the doctor away. In the second place, be close to nature. At a time when technology means ever harmful carbon in the air we breathe, we need these forests now more than ever. We can choose to go for a walk in the woods and appreciate streams rolling from the valley with a soft inland murmur at weekends, which can make us keep a happy mood. Last but not least, environmental pollution has become one of the risk factors affecting public health in China, thus, the government departments should issue relevant laws and regulations and enhance supervision so as to guarantee the sustainable development of environment.
To sum up, health is fundamental to a happy life so that we should pay close attention to it. Only in this way can we not only reduce health risks, but live a better life.
對(duì)話——我們應(yīng)該學(xué)急救嗎?
Should we learn first aid skills?
A: Hi, Jack, how is everything going?
B: Ah, everything is fine. And these days, I have been learning something about first aid.
A: First aid?Sounds great! But isn’t it the duty of medical workers?
B: Not exactly. In our daily life, it is difficult to avoid some accidental injuries, such as shock, electric shock, nosebleed, heatstroke and so on, which poses a great threat to our lives. Therefore, learning certain knowledge related to first aid is likely to save family lives and decrease the rate of disability.
A: I think you might be right in a way, but even so, most people tend to seek help from professional doctors in the face of emergencies. Moreover, the limited knowledge of first aid that we have learned can rarely come in handy.
B: In reality, you seem to fail to take into account the fact that many accidental deaths are caused by minor matters. For instance, according to a recent survey, many young children die each year from the food stuck in their throats. If you know Heimlich first aid at this time, tragedy would become evitable.
A: Heimlich first aid, I once heard of it. It is a very common first aid method, but I didn’t learn it specially.
B: So, you see, such first aid knowledge enables to prevent the occurrence of such bad event effectively. Like I said, the more first aid knowledge you learn, the more lives you can save.
A:Well, from this perspective, it is indeed essential for us to learn some skills about first aid.
