2023.10.10考題

版本一:Some people prefer to have friends who share the same opinions or beliefs about the world as they do. Other people prefer to have friends who have opinions or beliefs about the world that are different from their own. which one do you prefer and why?

Answer:

I used to love to make friends who are different from I am, but now I prefer to have friends who share similar views about the world as I do.?In general, though, people are very very different from each and no two people are exactly the same.?So long as people’s world views are not too different from mine and we really share a lot of common interests and hobbies, that’s even more important than sharing the same kind of beliefs and opinions about the world we live in.?So I would say in general I love getting to know people who hold the same values as I do, but whether or not we can become good friends really depends a lot on whether we can truly get along with each other and enjoy each other’s company.?I guess in a way I could say that in reality how we see the world, differently or the same, actually it is reflected by how we really live our lives.?If we can make each other better somehow, no matter how different or similar our opinions and life philosophy is, we can become good friends.?I really would love to make friends who are similar with me and different from me also, but the bottom line is we still need to share the same basic principles in which we live by and stick to on a daily basis. 版本二:Do you prefer to make friends with those who have a different worldview or with those who have a shared belief about the world? Please use details and examples to explain why.

Answer:

I love to make friends with people who share similar world views as I do.?Once I argued about the Russia-Ukraine war with two friends in the U.S.?Since we’re from three different countries in the world, China, U.S. and Nigeria, our stands regarding which country we support were very different in the beginning.?However, all three of us love peace and do not like or support wars in general.?Even though one friend was a bit of a crazy supporter of Ukraine since she strongly believes that Ukraine is the victim, and the weaker of the two, I and our Nigerian friend can understand her madness against Russian military actions.?After 3 or 4 rounds of emails, we decided not to talk about it anymore for we see no division among us, but still that we hope the wars will cease as soon as possible for the peaceful reconstruction of both countries and the families affected.?We can only give our best regards and prayers for a peaceful resolution in this messy war business, which affects the lives of so many soldiers and civilians.?We decided not to talk about politics anymore so as not to hurt anyone’s feelings.?We continue to be good friends because we love and care about each other and hope everybody in this world does and loves the same.?I love my two friends because we share the same basic world views and actually life views.?I think our deep understanding of each other is so consistent with what we believe for this world, it is what has made our friendship long-lasting and it will be for good.

2023.10.14考題

Some people like to get advice from friends who are at the same age as they are, like their friends. Others like to ask people who are older than them, such as their parents or grandparents. Which one do you prefer? Please include specific details and examples in your answer.

Answer:?

In general life matters, like everyday details, I love to get advice from my friends for I want to be on the same page with them in my day-to-do decisions like what kind of slideshow I should make for my presentation tomorrow, what kind of food to eat for lunch today, what I should wear to work or school today and what kind of learning I should do to accumulate skills for my future.?For bigger life matters, however, I usually turn to my parents or grandparents for I trust and love them, and depend on them the most in my heart.?I believe in the love and wisdom of my grandparents and parents and that they’ve experienced and seen much more than I have, especially in how to deal with personal relationships I think they usually have larger wisdom and kindness, more understanding than me and my friends.

2023.10.18考題

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People with simple and ordinary backgrounds are more suitable to be government leaders. Please explain your answer in details and examples.【重復(fù)2019年11月7日,2023年9月16日線下,2020年12月家考】

Answer:

?Oh absolutely 100% I agree with this opinion, though I think simple and ordinary backgrounds are not ordinary at all if those people have accumulated enough about the real world so that they can become leaders of our government and make good decisions about the people, not just the government.?As Abraham Lincoln has said, government should be for the people, by the people and of the people.?In China we say government leaders are always and should also serve the people and hold the people’s interests and welfare in their dearest hearts for their positions actually belong to a large group, or category you can say, called?“public servants”.?These are some of the most important positions in a country, so only people who know the ordinary citizens the best can possible do a good job of it.?A lot of the good political leaders or army generals I know in China have come from ordinary rural families in all part of our vast countryside.?Their diligence and compassion for people are the most wonderful and they often have the most skills and knowledge about relating to people and moving forward when there are hardships.?I truly believe in the power of people who’ve come from the simplest and most ordinary families, who’ve worked their ways up as they truly deserve their positions.

To help ensure students have enough time for studying, your school is considering placing a limit on the number of student clubs, sports, or organizations that a student is allowed to join. Do you think this is a good idea? Explain why or why not, using specific details and examples in your response.

Answer:

?I think it’s reasonable but I hope it’s not too strict. For example, even though for most people, joining 3 or 4 activities outside of academic work is enough, there are people who really enjoy social activities and sports and organizing things for others and for themselves, they can join a lot of activities, but perhaps along a couple of lines only.?For example, if a person loves reading and jogging, I don’t see any reason why he or she should not be allowed to join 3 or 4 reading groups for various parts of the week or semester, and another 3 or 4 jogging clubs or teams again for different parts of the semester or even school year.?I don’t think people should go crazy running after extracurricular activities and completely miss out on schoolwork or completely lose focus, but placing too many limits can really restrict our students’?freedom.?The school should give some guidelines, I really hope.

你是否認(rèn)為一個人setting a goal is important in his successful life?

Answer:?

Yeah I think setting a goal is key to a person’s successful life.?Otherwise how can you work towards it??The problem with me is often I don’t have a very clear goal in the very beginning so I have to work with what goals I have, then step by step as I move on with my project, I do more and get a better idea what I’d like to achieve so my goal becomes more clear and better-defined.?I even get better day by day how to separate my big goal into smaller ones that I can realize so that things become more concrete for me and I am more trusting myself and confident about achieving my goals.?I’ve watched people who try so hard with a big, very vague and hazy dream in his head, and step by step working diligently for it, and achieving it at the end.?It’s very rewarding.?But if you don’t have a goal, find one.?Try to enjoy it also, though, I think enjoyment is also part of the success.

2023.10.22考題

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement??Children should be encouraged to listen to or read news from an early age?【重復(fù)2020年9月/2021年2月家考原題】

Answer:

?I think it really depends.?Some kids love to listen to or read news when they are very young, but some kids might be so focused on their own playing for fun and they might not want to learn what’s going on in the larger community or even the society.?Although it’s best to develop an interest in our own city or country or even in the world when still a kid, it’s not something we can force, I don’t think, into a child.?So let’s leave it to the kids to decide before they’re 10 years old.?In the meantime perhaps we can share with them what I have learned from news in the wide world each day, what we find interesting and is related to their life.?For example, social news like how to protect children, what to do if you see somebody else needing help and you’re only a child, and maybe sharing some interesting news about other kids and animals, about trees and flowers and plants, about what we eat and wear and use everyday.?So I guess my answer is yes, children should learn about what’s useful and interesting to them in the outside world, but it can be, or perhaps the best way is through sharing and discussing with them, not just listening to and reading news.?The format should vary so long as it is interesting and really works for kids.

2023.10.28考題

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People should strive to be self-sufficient so they do not need to depend on others. Use specific examples and details to support your opinion.【重復(fù)2022.7.30下午場原題】

Answer:

?I definitely agree people should try to become self-sufficient in taking care of their own lives.?I used to really depend on my parents for taking care of my daily life, then one day when I started going to boarding school I found I couldn’t do anything.?It was really embarrassing, since none of my school friends could help me.?They were in similar situations with me oftentimes.?Then I really started taking care of my own hair, face, clean up myself and my room every day, and then my school work.?I could no longer just ask my father for how to solve a math problem. I had to learn to solve all the problems myself.?Later I found I became more and more confident.?Now I’m perfectly able to make most of my decisions in school, and even regarding where to go for college and I know how to carry out my plans step by step.?I can still ask for advice constantly from my parents and my classmates and also my teachers, but I am self-sufficient now meaning I depend on myself first to find out what is good to do and how to do it and how to reasonably ask for advice.?Everything is so much easier, though learning it has been hard.?It’s worth it, though, the self-sufficiency that I no longer have to depend on anyone.?It makes me feel pretty good.?Thanks so much for letting me share all that.?

2023.10.29考題

Your university currently requires all students to take one humanities course in a subject such as literature or philosophy in order to graduate. However, some students majoring in subjects such as math and science think that these humanities courses are not relevant to their field of study and they should therefore not be required to take them.Do you agree with these students? Explain why or why not.?【重復(fù)2022家考/2023.1.7】

Answer

:I think math and science students should still take at least one humanities course, but maybe the university can give them the choice of independent-study or not requiring their class-attendance for these courses if they are too busy with their math and science courses.?For people who’ve taken enough humanities in high school and if they have the transcript that’s good enough and they can show they really need the time for their majors sure I think they should be waived.?In general, though, I think because classes like literature and philosophy give us so much about life of people from all walks and give us a lot of chances to discuss with each other, I think we should really treasure this opportunity to learn with people from all kinds of majors, just to discuss things that are common to everybody in life.?This way people don’t limit themselves to their specific majors and can learn more about the wider society before we graduate and actually in it. 以上就是本次給大家分享的的托福10月獨(dú)立口語真題高分范答啦,希望對各位托福er有所幫助!歡迎各位口語有問題的寶子加入我們雷哥托福和Christine老師一起組隊攻克口語!
