Nice sentence:
- (現(xiàn)代經(jīng)理角色)The modern manager has to play the role of coach in the charge of their team. And that requires an understanding of the different personality types which they may be managing, and indeed the role their personality may play in the way they manage. Whereas, what makes life tricky for managers is that people do not have labels on their foreheads stating which kind of personality they have. Managers needs to act like Sigmund Freud-spending time observing and chatting to their team members, before deciding how best to get them motivated and inspired.
- Extroverts are most likely to go far in business. The childre in more prosperous homes tend to develop such personality traits in their early life, because they hardly face those stress events which undermine their self-confidence. When they embark on a career, they may embrace challenges-applying for the most prestigious positions, and hold a belief-their efforts will be rewarded; whereas, those with negative self-image may feel it is not worth trying too hard.
- (為什么中間性格的人適合成為領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者) The key to success is not to be too far out on the scale in the either direction. As oppoesed to it, an extreme introvert risks seeming too remote to manage a team, and may lack the ability to inpire; while an extreme extrovert can simply overwhlem the business, with others unable to constrain him. Perhaps, becoming a successful entrepreneur or foudner, requires a significant degree of self-confidence, and an openminded and humble attitude. When the situation calls for it, ambiverts can give a stirring speech like extroverts to motivate their subordinates, but also they would listen to their teams modestly and patiently, when they need others' expertise and advice .
- (經(jīng)理如何鼓勵內(nèi)向的人發(fā)言)One method is to circulate materials well in advance. There is no point to discuss when introverts are still learning about it. Give them enough time to absorb the information, if you want some ideas of the more detial-conscious members in your team. In addition, managers can also spur introverts to contribute to the discussion via asking them specific questions in their expertise area. In most cases, writting down their ideas is better than speaking them out. This approach can also improve the discussion's quality.
