中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)婚禮，是華夏文化的重要部分。古時(shí)于黃昏舉行，取其陰陽(yáng)交替之義。古時(shí)的婚禮簡(jiǎn)樸干凈，沒有喧囂的宴席。那時(shí)的婚禮重的是夫婦之義，并不認(rèn)為這是一件可以喧鬧嘈雜的事。也許是因?yàn)闈h代以后頻發(fā)戰(zhàn)亂夜晚不安全的緣故，故婚禮儀式在白天舉行。中國(guó)人喜歡紅色，將紅色看做是幸福，成功，忠誠(chéng)和繁榮的象征。因此在中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)婚禮上，主色調(diào)是紅色，有紅色的蠟燭，紅色的緞帶和紅花。
