一、單詞記憶

我們?cè)谂恼盏臅r(shí)候經(jīng)常會(huì)聽到攝影師說，擺個(gè)pose，這里的pose就是“姿勢(shì)”的意思。我們?cè)趐ose的前面加上pro，before，“在…之前”的意思。

這兩部分放在一起，propose，表示的意思是放在面前的，所以它是“提議，建議”。

然后把pose中不發(fā)音的e去掉，加上al，名詞后綴。al常見的是形容詞后綴，但是它也可以作為名詞后綴使用的。比如arrival，名詞，“到達(dá)”。

這3部分放在一起，proposal就是一個(gè)名詞的“提議，建議，動(dòng)議”。

1.propose sb. for sth.：提名某人做某事

指在會(huì)議上提名某人擔(dān)任某職位或參加某組織。其后接具體的職位時(shí)，for也可換成as；但若是指position，post，job之類的“職位”時(shí)，則只用for。

I propose him?for chairman.

我提名他做主席。

2.propose sth. (to sb.)：(向某人)提議用某事物

與職位無關(guān)，主要表示提出建議，供對(duì)方參考

He was the first person to propose the construction of the bridge.

他是第一個(gè)提議建這座橋的人。

3.propose to sb.：向某人求婚

He proposed to me.

他向我求婚。

4.propose a toast to sb.：（為某人）祝酒

I'd like to propose a toast to the bride and groom.
