Formula 2 championship leader and Alpine test driver Guanyu Zhou will become only the second Chinese driver to get behind the wheel in a Formula 1 practice session when he borrows Fernando Alonso’s car for FP1 at this weekend’s Austrian Grand Prix.

His appearance in FP1 in Austria will be the first for a Chinese driver in eight years. Ma Quinghua drove in five practice session across 2012 and 2013 with HRT and Caterham.

這僅僅是中國(guó)車手第二次出現(xiàn)在練習(xí)賽中。同樣來(lái)自上海的馬青驊在八年多前的2012，2013賽季共計(jì)五次出現(xiàn)在練習(xí)賽中。彼時(shí)，小馬哥駕駛的還是HRT和卡特漢姆賽車。

“Driving in FP1 at a Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend is like a dream coming true and another step closer to my ultimate goal of becoming a Formula 1 driver,” said Zhou.

“對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)，可以在比賽周出戰(zhàn)F1的自由練習(xí)，就像是夢(mèng)想成真一樣，也讓我距離自己成為正式F1車手的目標(biāo)更近一步。”周冠宇說(shuō)道。

“It’s going to be even more special that I’m driving Fernando’s car as he inspired me to pursue a career in racing when I was young. I’m very happy with my achievements so far and I’m very thankful for the support I have from those around me. My aim is to maximise this opportunity and I’m really looking forward to it.”

“更加有意義的是，在練習(xí)賽中，我將駕駛阿隆索的賽車，而他正式那個(gè)激勵(lì)了兒時(shí)的我，讓我決心加入賽車運(yùn)動(dòng)的車手。我對(duì)目前自己的成就俠氣滿意，也非常感謝周圍支持我的人。我很期待這次練習(xí)賽，希望可以牢牢抓住這次機(jī)會(huì)?！?/p>

Alpine boss Laurent Rossi added: “The challenge for young drivers to get into F1 is incredibly hard, and we are proud to support upcoming talent on this road.
