2020年3月30日，德里警方發(fā)出警情通報(bào)，說(shuō)是有人在網(wǎng)上傳播一個(gè)假的UPI虛擬支付地址（fake UPI ID），騙取人民群眾向印度總理莫迪發(fā)起的抗疫基金（PM Cares Fund）賬戶轉(zhuǎn)移的捐款。

這個(gè)假UPI虛擬支付地址為pmcare@upi，它和總理抗疫基金的支付地址pmcares@sbi很相似。

警方已經(jīng)查到這個(gè)騙子，他承認(rèn)想借機(jī)發(fā)點(diǎn)國(guó)難財(cái)。警方希望人民群眾擦亮眼睛，不要給假賬號(hào)轉(zhuǎn)錢。要轉(zhuǎn)就轉(zhuǎn)到pmcares@sbi。

這個(gè)總理抗疫基金全名叫總理公民緊急救助基金(PM’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (CARES) fund )。

假的UPI虛擬支付地址是被人在推特上向德里警方和印度國(guó)家銀行舉報(bào)的，銀行立即轉(zhuǎn)交給他們的UPI team，隨后這個(gè)騙子賬戶就被block了。

很簡(jiǎn)單的案子，很難懂的內(nèi)容。什么叫UPI？

讓我們先從遙遠(yuǎn)的西天說(shuō)起，這些年中國(guó)人依稀聽說(shuō)印度在執(zhí)行一個(gè)神秘的計(jì)劃——Digital India（數(shù)字印度），卻不得其詳。據(jù)說(shuō)這個(gè)計(jì)劃的宏偉目標(biāo)可以用三個(gè)詞來(lái)概括——Faceless（不見(jiàn)面）, Paperless（不用紙）, Cashless（不用鈔票）。

為了追夢(mèng)，印度阿三聚集了一批人才，瞞著中國(guó)，秘密研發(fā)出了一系列，炫目的，創(chuàng)新型，無(wú)現(xiàn)金數(shù)字支付模式。什么USSD（功能手機(jī)銀行），AEPS（生物識(shí)別驗(yàn)證交易），UPI都是非常有印度特色的創(chuàng)意。這個(gè)UPI就是其中最亮的一個(gè)。

UPI全名叫UNIFIED PAYMENTS INTERFACE (UPI)（統(tǒng)一支付界面）。它是2016年印度中央銀行印度儲(chǔ)備銀行下屬的The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI)推出的銀行間實(shí)時(shí)支付系統(tǒng)。

有了它，收款人可以通過(guò)智能手機(jī)發(fā)起支付請(qǐng)求，無(wú)論交易雙方是在哪個(gè)銀行的開的戶，通過(guò)virtual payment address（虛擬支付地址）作為payment identifier （支付識(shí)別代碼），就可以進(jìn)行收款付款。用戶只需進(jìn)行2-factor authentication雙因子驗(yàn)證授權(quán)即可實(shí)時(shí)完成交易。

To initiate a transaction, you can use two types of address—global or local. Global address includes your mobile, Aadhaar and bank account numbers. A local address can be a virtual address. Let’s say your bank gives you a virtual ID similar to your email ID (for instance, name@companyname). This virtual address will allow you to send and receive money from multiple banks and prepaid payment issuers.

So, you will no longer need to use a particular app to send and receive money.?

For example, if you use a taxi service, at the end of the journey you just have to give your virtual address and the driver will request money from it. You will get a message on your mobile phone asking for authentication. Once you authenticate the transaction by entering your password, it will be complete. This process doesn’t require either the driver or you to share bank details. Since UPI runs on IMPS, the service will be available real time and 24X7.

Step-1 – After buying something online and reaching the payment gateway to select a payment mode.

Step-2 – Here, you or merchant banker selects UPI and enter your virtual address as the identifier (e.g. sureshkp@icicibank). Immediately, a notification is received on your smart phone application for the service to which the particular virtual address is linked like your bank account, or Paytm, or other payment wallets.

Step-3 – When this notification is opened, it asks for a security pin called MPIN. On entering the MPIN, your transaction is completed within seconds. Under this system, the user will have multiple virtual addresses for different bank accounts in various banks. It enables you to purchase anything without sharing your account details, credit or debit card details.?

An MPIN is given to a banking customer once they register for Mobile Banking support. Chances are you have one already, but have never used it.
