The Development of Marxism in China
? Since the publication of the Communist Manifesto by Marx and Engels in London in 1848, it has marked the birth of Marxism. The birth of Marxism means that the international workers' movement has begun to have ideological guidance, and even more so, it means that the proletariat has its own ideological weapon, which can better strive to achieve the great ideal of communism.
? Marxism is the choice of the people and also the choice of history. "Only the CPC can save China" is the result of historical tests. After the Opium War in 1840, China began to become a semi colonial and semi feudal society, marking the beginning of modern Chinese history. At this point, different political forces in modern China stepped onto the historical stage, such as the reformists led by Liang Qichao and others who carried out the "bus petition", and the bourgeois revolutionaries led by Sun Yat sen and others who carried out the "Xinhai Revolution", but all ended in failure. The New Culture Movement, which began in 1915, played a role in enlightening the Chinese people's thinking. In 1917, the victory of the October Revolution in Russia brought hope to Chinese scholars for the liberation of the Chinese nation. In 1919, China's diplomatic failure at the Paris Peace Conference led to the outbreak of the May Fourth Movement. The outbreak of the May 4th Movement marked the first time that the working class stepped onto the political stage of China, which laid the ideological foundation for the establishment of the CPC. In 1921, the founding of the CPC changed the face of China's revolution. The CPC led the Chinese nation in 28 bloody battles and finally established New China on October 1, 1949. The establishment of New China has brought the Chinese nation to its feet and put an end to China's century long history of humiliation. In the development of New China, the CPC has adhered to Marxism as its guiding ideology, built China into a developing country, and made the Chinese nation experience three great leaps from standing up to becoming rich and then to becoming strong.
? Although Marxism has a history of 175 years, China, as a socialist country, will firmly use Marxism as our social ideology, as the above historical facts have fully demonstrated the importance of Marxism for China's development. Thus promoting the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
