? ? ?《月之暗面》是基于平克·弗洛伊德在過(guò)去的諸多演出和錄音實(shí)驗(yàn)的基礎(chǔ)上創(chuàng)作出來(lái)的。自從1968年，席德·巴雷特離隊(duì)之后，平克的配器變得單調(diào)，缺乏多樣性。作為巴雷特的后繼者，吉爾摩將樂(lè)隊(duì)之前使用過(guò)的諸多樂(lè)器稱(chēng)為：“瘋子才會(huì)玩的玩意兒”，沃特斯在1971年創(chuàng)作的《Meddle》也成為了樂(lè)隊(duì)的重要轉(zhuǎn)折點(diǎn)，其中的理念在《月之暗面》中間得到了體現(xiàn)?！对轮得妗返那楦兄黝}主要是圍繞矛盾，貪婪，時(shí)間的流逝，死亡，和瘋狂，最后一點(diǎn)實(shí)際上是從巴雷特當(dāng)時(shí)不穩(wěn)定的精神狀態(tài)中得到的啟示。

? ? ?? 這張專(zhuān)輯最為著名的是它對(duì)具象音樂(lè)概念的使用以及其概念性，哲學(xué)性的歌詞，這些特點(diǎn)在平克的其他專(zhuān)輯中也有所體現(xiàn)。專(zhuān)輯的每一面都是一篇獨(dú)立而持續(xù)的樂(lè)章。每一面的五首歌都反映著人生的不同階段，以心跳聲作為起始和結(jié)束，借此來(lái)探討人的天性和（沃特斯說(shuō)）"共鳴"。

? ? ?“Speak to Me”和“Breathe”兩首著眼于生活中間世俗而微不足道的小事，但這些小事往往伴隨著 永存的，“瘋狂”的威脅，已是他們生命的價(jià)值所在——“Don`t be afraid to care”。場(chǎng)景轉(zhuǎn)到機(jī)場(chǎng)，“On the Run”緊張的配器風(fēng)格喚醒了人們時(shí)常在現(xiàn)代旅行中間體驗(yàn)到的緊張和壓力，當(dāng)然這其中也包含了沃特斯對(duì)于飛行的恐懼。

? ? ? ?“Time”解釋了時(shí)間的流逝足以改變?nèi)说囊簧?，以及給那些仍舊沉迷于世俗事務(wù)人們以警告。緊接著“Breath(Reprise)"又話(huà)鋒一收，將專(zhuān)輯從狂野的傾向拉了回來(lái)。專(zhuān)輯的第一面最后以Wright和歌手Clare Torry靈魂樂(lè)風(fēng)的，對(duì)死亡的隱喻式歌唱“The Great Gig in the Sky"收尾。

? ? ? ?專(zhuān)輯第二面的第一首歌，“Money”以收銀機(jī)的音效和緩慢的變化，以及嘲諷的歌詞和錢(qián)幣叮叮當(dāng)當(dāng)?shù)穆曇糁S刺了人們的貪婪和消費(fèi)主義傾向（但其實(shí)最諷刺的一點(diǎn)在于，“Money”反而是這張專(zhuān)輯中間賣(mài)的最好的一首歌，也被許多其他樂(lè)隊(duì)翻唱過(guò)）。"Us and them”用對(duì)沖突的象征和人際關(guān)系之間的激烈對(duì)抗表現(xiàn)出了社會(huì)中令人感到不安的孤立感?！癆ny Colour You Like”關(guān)注了個(gè)人在整個(gè)社會(huì)中，選擇的匱乏。

? ? ? ? “Brain Damage”看到了因?yàn)閭€(gè)人將追名逐利放在自身本質(zhì)需求之上，由此導(dǎo)致的瘋狂，特別是其中的一句歌詞“當(dāng)你的樂(lè)隊(duì)也開(kāi)始跟你唱反調(diào)”，影射了前成員席德·巴雷特的精神崩潰。整張專(zhuān)輯的收官之作“Eclipse”同時(shí)向人們頌揚(yáng)了“差別”和“統(tǒng)一”這兩種看似對(duì)立實(shí)則相同的概念，這讓聽(tīng)眾們不得不去思考人性中的相同之處。

封面設(shè)計(jì)

? ? ?《月之暗面》本來(lái)是準(zhǔn)備采用Hiognosis和George Hardie的設(shè)計(jì)，用對(duì)開(kāi)式的裝幀。Hipgnosis曾經(jīng)為樂(lè)隊(duì)之前的幾張專(zhuān)輯設(shè)計(jì)過(guò)封面，他對(duì)這種設(shè)計(jì)其實(shí)有些異議。EMI本來(lái)期待更加傳統(tǒng)一些的封面設(shè)計(jì)，希望在封面上有一些文字性的描述，所以他們?cè)诳吹健禔tom Heart Mother》和《Meddle》的專(zhuān)輯封面時(shí)感到了一絲困惑。設(shè)計(jì)師Storm Thorgerson和Aubrey Powell力排眾議，做出了與眾不同的作品。在為《月之暗面》設(shè)計(jì)封面的時(shí)候，他們經(jīng)過(guò)討論，希望把專(zhuān)輯封面做的更加“小巧，明晰又別致”。

? ? ? ? 專(zhuān)輯封面的靈感來(lái)自于Thorgerson之前在一本攝影書(shū)上看到的，光束射進(jìn)棱鏡，折射出七彩光芒的照片。 封面的設(shè)計(jì)是在George Hardie的協(xié)助之下完成的。Hipgnosis設(shè)計(jì)了封面的七個(gè)樣本，給樂(lè)隊(duì)成員選擇，但是他們一直認(rèn)為棱鏡絕對(duì)是不二之選。最終的定稿就是光線被棱鏡折射成七彩光芒的樣子。這個(gè)設(shè)計(jì)包含了樂(lè)隊(duì)的三種元素：表演時(shí)舞臺(tái)的燈光，歌詞以及賴(lài)特對(duì)封面的要求：簡(jiǎn)潔。散射出的光線一直穿過(guò)封面，延伸到封皮的內(nèi)側(cè)（這個(gè)想法是沃特斯提出來(lái)的）。之后，這種對(duì)開(kāi)式的設(shè)計(jì)似乎又在視覺(jué)上象征了專(zhuān)輯中反復(fù)使用的，人的心跳聲。專(zhuān)輯的背面還有另外一個(gè)棱鏡，又聚攏了原本被散射的光線，這樣的設(shè)計(jì)在CD店中很是抓人眼球。光線穿過(guò)散射出來(lái)的光芒中其實(shí)沒(méi)有“藍(lán)色”（對(duì)照傳統(tǒng)意義上的赤橙黃綠青藍(lán)紫）。
