1.3. Get the Best Photoshop Version

In this lecture, let's talk about what the best photoshop version is for this course. The short answer is this. Anything above cs 4 will do. that was launched way back in 2008. But most of what you learn can be applied in that version. Cs6 is good as well, but I suggest you upgrade to the creative cloud release,?

1.6. ACTIVITY Create a Black and White Image

I know some people think photoshop is an overwhelming program that is difficult to use. But I'm here to take all the strain out of it.?

You can see the photo quality is quite poor. So some of these settings accentuate those issues. ?

1.7. History Panel

Welcome to this lecture where I want to show you how you can work with confidence, knowing that you can always undo your mistakes.?

Here's the situation. I have a blank canvas with no particular settings, and I will perform several random actions. For example, I’ll create a rectangle, next step, move it just a bit. Now add a new empty layer to my project.?

this is called reverse, and it discards all your actions. And it takes you back to the documents initial state.?

If you check the history panel, you'll see reverse popped up like a regular entry. ?

In case you don't like hot keys or using a MAC, go to the Top menu and click on file. on a MAC. That's the photo shop tab. From here. Choose revert. This does the same thing. Please be aware that this function doesn't work on an unsaved project. So if we start a new one with control n, and we perform various actions, we can hit F12 as much as we want. ?
