藝術(shù)家王馨曼榮獲瑪麗安·勃蘭特國際藝術(shù)大獎
“2022年第八屆國際瑪麗安·勃蘭特國際大賽”于2022年9月14日在官網(wǎng)公布獲獎名單。
由德國百年包豪斯引以為傲的世界頂尖設(shè)計師和藝術(shù)家瑪麗安·勃蘭特的名字命名的大賽名稱,國際大賽每三年舉辦一次。本屆大賽在來自全球34個國家的400多位參賽者中,評審團評選出該獎項類別的20位提名獎獲得者,中國生態(tài)環(huán)保藝術(shù)家王馨曼斬獲提名獎。該獎項的頒獎典禮將于2022年10月29日至31日在德國開姆尼茨市舉行。2022年第八屆國際瑪麗安·勃蘭大獎通過“連通性與自然建立新關(guān)系的實驗”,旨在激發(fā)藝術(shù)家和設(shè)計師們探索和發(fā)現(xiàn)與設(shè)計連接我們與其他生物及棲息地的相關(guān)事物。此次國際大賽希望藝術(shù)家和設(shè)計師能尋找與其他生物和自然存在的合作、美學(xué)、隱喻和詩意交換關(guān)系的項目、圖像和文本。探討人類是否可以從一個角度來看待自己,不是把自己看成其他生物和棲息地的對立物,而是關(guān)注相似的東西。

由生態(tài)環(huán)保藝術(shù)家王馨曼創(chuàng)作的保護生物多樣性系列裝置藝術(shù)作品、互動綜合材料藝術(shù)作品得到了此次大賽評委的贊譽。王馨曼采用回收的廢舊材料:塑料袋、飲料瓶、易拉罐、鐵絲、不同材質(zhì)的線、紙箱、報紙、塑料玩具和日常生活用品等材料創(chuàng)作的野生動物裝置藝術(shù)作品,作品表達了對生物棲息地被人類占領(lǐng),植物被砍伐、動物失去棲息地后體內(nèi)充斥著因為人類過度消費所丟棄的各種塑料廢棄物的批判;隱喻對地球生物痛苦掙扎和煎熬的生命過程是由人類行為疊加造成的。藝術(shù)家希望通過野生動物裝置藝術(shù)作品激發(fā)大眾給生態(tài)破壞所帶來的嚴(yán)重影響的反思,如自然災(zāi)害與極端氣候的增加、地球物種以前所未有的速度在滅絕等問題,藝術(shù)家王馨曼倡導(dǎo)大眾參與到日常低碳環(huán)保的行動中,為保護自然、和諧共生貢獻自己的一份力量。
王馨曼是一位生態(tài)環(huán)保藝術(shù)家,具有設(shè)計、藝術(shù)、生態(tài)藝術(shù)、人類學(xué)、管理學(xué)背景,獲得博士學(xué)位,國內(nèi)外多所大學(xué)客座教授,現(xiàn)任職云南大學(xué)、云南省美術(shù)家協(xié)會綜合材料藝術(shù)委員會副主任。她結(jié)合了對人類行為的深刻理解,以及通過藝術(shù)引發(fā)大眾對自然遭受人類欲望和過度物質(zhì)消費的反思,倡導(dǎo)大眾參與保護自然,和諧發(fā)展。她的藝術(shù)作品被聯(lián)合國教科文組織藝術(shù)中心、法國國家自然歷史博物館、意大利當(dāng)代藝術(shù)中心、云南美術(shù)館、中華文化中心等機構(gòu)收藏。
Sophia Xinman Wang has won the Marianne Brandt International Art Prize in Germany
The winners of the 8th International Marian Brandt Competition 2022 were announced on the website on September 14, 2022.
Named after Marianne Brandt, the world's top designer and artist who is proud of Germany's century-old Bauhaus, the international competition is held every three years. Among more than 400 participants from 34 countries around the world, the jury selected 20 nominees in this category. Sophia Xinman Wang, a Chinese eco-artist, won the nomination. The award ceremony will be held in Chemnitz, Germany, from October 29 to 31, 2022. The 8th International Marianne Bolan Award 2022 aims to inspire artists and designers to explore, discover and design the things that connect us to other creatures and habitats through "experiments in connectivity and a new relationship with nature". The international competition asks artists and designers to find projects, images and texts that are in a collaborative, aesthetic, metaphorical and poetic exchange relationship with other creatures and natural beings. To explore whether humans can see themselves from a point of view, not as opposed to other creatures and habitats, but as similar things.
Ecological and environmental protection artist Sophia Xinman Wang created a series of biodiversity protection installation art works, interactive materials art works were praised by the judges of the competition. Sophia Xinman Wang uses recycled waste materials: Plastic bags, bottles, cans, iron wire, line of different materials, cartons, paper, plastic toys and daily necessities such as material creation wildlife device works of art, works expressed habitats are occupied by humans, plants have been cut down, animals lose their habitat after full because human over-consumption of all kinds of plastic waste discarded by criticism; Metaphor for the painful struggle and suffering of the Earth's life process is caused by the superposition of human actions. Artist hopes that by wildlife device works of art to inspire the public to the reflection of ecological destruction brought about by the serious influence, such as the increase of natural disasters and extreme climate, the earth at an unprecedented rate in the extinction of species, artists Sophia Xinman Wang advocate the public to participate in the daily low carbon environmental protection, to protect the natural harmonious coexistence, contributes an own strength.
Sophia Xinman Wang is an ecological and environmental protection artist with a background of design, art, ecological art, anthropology, and management. She has obtained a doctor's degree and is a visiting professor in many universities at home and abroad. She is currently serving as the deputy director of Yunnan University and Yunnan Artists Association Comprehensive Materials Art Committee. She combines a deep understanding of human behavior with art to trigger public reflection on nature suffering from human desire and excessive material consumption and advocates public participation in the protection of nature and harmonious development. Her works are collected by the UNESCO Art Center, the French National Museum of Natural History, the Italian Center for Contemporary Art, the Yunnan Art Museum, the Chinese Culture Center and other institutions.
