"Well,it's been really fun playing around with you,Chronia"I said

"Mm...?I'm glad that I can please my owner?"Chronia said shyly

"There's no need for that,Chronia,don't call me 'owner',it feels like I'm some kind of strangers to you...You don't have to be like a stranger,Chronia"

"I...just...feel that it's more appropriate?"

"Uh,if I'm some kind of bad guys with a tough voice,I would suggest you do that,but I'm not,am I?"

"Well...You do sound quite..."

"Huh?"

"Nothing,nothing!You're good!"

"Pff,you're so funny,Chronia,well...It's really fun..."I scratched my head,"But...Things will have to come to an end,you know that?"

Chronia looked at me with the face of confusion,"What do you mean,Simon?"

"Mm,Chronia..."I sat on the ground,and searched through my backpack,"I didn't really came to this place for nothing,like I said,I'm an adventurer...And now it's time for me to go home,to where...I came from"

"...Go home...?"

"Yeah,Chronia,go home...My home"I took out a picture with a big city on it

Chronia looked at the picture,then she looked at me,"But...if Simon leaves...What should I do?"

"Well,you live here,aren’t you?"I asked,he noticed that Chronia's having a strange expression,"You can just go home...and have some rest?I remember you talked about some place called the Mount Crown,right?Isn't that your home?"

"It was...But it's not anymore...",Chronia scrubbed her scales,"My home was gone...A long time ago"

"Where do you live now?"

"I...I don't know,I've been out for a long time,the last thing I knew about this world may be gold and dust"

"Well...when I found you,you were inside of this crystal,I thought you lived in the crystal until it disappeared...I suppose you were supposed to live inside some sort of cave or...ruins?"

Chronia shook her head slowly,I was a bit surprised,"Look,Chronia,I...can't take you home...If people found that you're a dragon,they may hurt you,and not everyone accept you like I do"

Chronia lowered her head when she heard what I said,obviously she's sad,I felt bad about making Chronia unhappy,and I wasn't sure about what to say to Chronia.After a long period of silence,Chronia said something with a throbbing tone,"Please....don't leave me here,Simon...I don't want to be alone...again..."

I looked at Chronia.I can almost see the tears in her eyes even if her head is down,I felt as if I'm just another one of her 'old owners'

Chronia was abandoned,twice,because of her previous owners being so terrible that there wasn't even a place for Chronia to take as a shelter,now that she knew me,she really felt like I'm treating her like a real family...Well,for 2 weeks,and the dream is broken

I sighed and crouched,gently lift Chronia's face with my hands,"Hey...Chronia...Don't cry...I'm sorry,okay?Trust me,I don't want to leave a cutie like you here alone.But it's really dangerous for you to come along with me to a place you've never been to...You may get harmed"

Chronia murmured,"But I'm just a small dragon...I don't even know how to hunt for food...I don't...know what to do out here"

I looked at Chronia for a couple seconds,after quite some time of struggling,I made up his mind,and gave Chronia a hug,"Okay...Little fatty...come here...I promised that I'd be responsible to you as your owner,I won't leave you here alone,alright?"

"...Really?"

"Really,well,if you can't be independent enough to stay in the wild yet,it's surely not a good idea leaving you here alone,so,I guess you would just have to come along with me after all"

"With Simon?To Simon's home?"

"Yeah~to my humble home,I used to hear that dragons like you live in greeeaaaaatttt palaces,hope that you wouldn't mind when you're there"

Chronia rose her head and looked at me with expectations,I rubbed Chronia's eyes and wiped her tears,"(Sigh)Well,Chronia,I'll figure out how to deal with your appearance later...Now,let's go home"

I took Chronia's hands and led the way.

Out of the forest,away from the great lake,they walked across a giant bridge with red steel on top,the metropolis appeared right in front of them,Chronia seemed excited,"Wow~Simon,is that where you live?That's so cool~"

"Yeah,Chronia~Welcome to~The Metropolis"

Around 2 weeks after 《Overworld:Silent Night》

The day was about to come...The day for me to go home,which means...It'a about time for me to say farewell to Chronia.

I'm afraid that Chronia's gonna be so upset,so I was wondering what to tell her,she may or may not have guessed it judging from my facial expressions,and she remained silent.

This morning,she's sitting on the porch of the cabin without saying anything,I looked at her,the strange feeling bothered me,I walked up to Chronia and sat beside her.

“Hey...Chronia,what're you playing?”,I asked.

“Master...I mean Simon?...Uh,I wasn't playing anything...Waiting for your orders?”

I smiled,“Come on,Chronia,you're talking about me as if I'm slaving you,I'm not anything like that,am I?”

“No no no...I'm sorry,of course you're not,Simon...”,Chronia waved to me nervously.

“Well,if I'm a tough guy with a pretty rough voice,you may call me 'master'...Otherwise I would prefer you just call me Simon,you know?Besides I never asked you to call me 'master',that's freaking weird...Am I a tough guy with rough voice?I thought I was doing fine...?”

“Well...You do sound...”

“EH?!”,I was surprised

Chronia laughed and waved again,“No no,you're good,you're fine,I'm sorry!”

I looked at her softly,sighed,then I said,“Chronia...I...I need to tell you something...But uh,I don't know if you're gonna understand”

“Hmm...What is it,Simon?”

“I said this the day I met you and I need to mention it again...I came out to detect this place and make a short trip,and it's...already 3 weeks since I came here...You know what I mean?”

Chronia shook her head slowly and looked at me.

“That means I'm gonna go home...Chronia...To my real home...”

“Isn't this your home...?”

I took out a picture with a big city shown on it,“No...Chronia,THIS is where I come from...so this place...that's my real home”

“Can I come with you?...”Chronia looked at me with her big eyes,I can feel her begging me

But the fact is,she may get harmed in the city once she's exposed as a dragon,I shook my head and told her,“I'm sorry,Chronia,but I don't think you can...”

Chronia was disappointed to hear this,she buried her head into her knees.

“Chronia...?”,I called her,but she didn't answer me anymore...I guess she's really sad.

That night Chronia just sat on the porch,she didn't say anything,and she didn't do anything,I was worried ifI'mm hurting her again...Like her old 'owners'.

The second day when I was packing and trying to say goodbye to Chronia,I found her missing.“Chronia?Chronia?Chronia,where are you?”,I searched around the cabin,but I didn't saw her anywhere.I wondered if she's letting me go and leaving this place,but then I remembered how she acted last night,my instinct told me she's not accepting it that easily.I dropped the pack and started searching for her,“CHRONIA?!CHRONIA!!”

I went to the place we've been,but she's nowhere around that,she's really missing,I started to worry.On one hand,my ride was ordered this morning and it's already overtime,on the other hand,Chronia was missing and now I'm more worried if she's getting injured or hurt.If things are getting worse...

An idea cut through my mind,there was a place she once mentioned,and it happened to be where I met her,the Moonlight Lake,where she liked playing by.I hiked through the forest swiftly and searched my way through my marks,eventually I arrived at the Moonlight Lake before sunset,and there she was.

“Chronia!”

“...Simon?”

I ran towards her and gave her a hug,I almost cried when I said,“Damn who knows how worried I was...”,then I rubbed her face and pretend to be angry,“How could you leave me like this...?That's really not nice...”

“I'm...I'm sorry,Simon...I was just...Distracted”

“Okay...Chronia,I knew you're disappointed about what I said yesterday,but it's because I'm worrying about you...I never wanted to leave you alone here,you can trust me with that,right?”

“...Okay?”

“Listen,Chronia...I live in a city where there are many other humans,but not all of them are like me,they may not be so friendly to you,and if things get worse,they may hurt you,and if you attack them,you're gonna be caged like an animal,that's not what I wanted to see...Alright?”

“So...Simon's been thinking about me all this time?”,I guess I saw something shiny in her eyes when she said this,she hugged me and cried,“I'm sorry...I shouldn't have ran away like this...I'm really sorry...”

“Now now...Chronia,it's okay...I guess I should have made it clearer before...”

“Then...Are you leaving now...?”

I thought for a while,“(sigh)Well,on my way here I thought...You may be too strict on yourself if I leave you here alone...You could be in great danger in the wild even if you're a huge dragon if I leave you here,and...”,I hesitated,but shortly afterwards I continued,“And I promised you that I would take care of you the day I met you,so I think maybe I was being irresponsible...I shouldn't have just left even if I want to go home...”

“...So what're you gonna do?”

“Well,I said to be responsible to you,didn't I?Since you're not safe either out here or in the city,I might as well,heh heh,take you with me,after all you'd be more comfortable staying with me,aren't you?”

“Of course I am!”,Chronia was excited

“And,you little dummy made me missed my ride,so in return,carry me home,that's an order”

“Okay,Simon!”

Chronia turned into her original dragon form and carried me back to the cabin,I took my bag out and climbed onto Chronia's back,“Okay!Here we go!To the city!”

After a short ride at the dragon speed,I can see the shadow of the Metropolis.

Before we reach the border of the city,I told Chronia to stay near the ground and landed,then she transformed into the semi-dragon shape,for her safety I asked her to do this in advance,she asked,“Simon...You said that my look is going to be suspicious,then what should I do now?”

“I'll think of it later,for now,let's take a walk as usual,the bridge should be near”

Across the giant red steel bridge,the Metropolis appeared,Chronia was really excited to see the big city,she pointed at the city then she looked at me with her eyes glittering,“Is this where you live,Simon?That's so cool!”

“Haha...Welcome to the Metropolis,my little Chronia...”
