1998年，霍夫曼教授在不來梅大學(xué)獲得了水生地球化學(xué)博士學(xué)位。1999年在美因茨大學(xué)依次從事博士后研究和擔(dān)任助理教授。2005 年起擔(dān)任維也納大學(xué)環(huán)境地球科學(xué)學(xué)院的正教授和主席。他于 2006 年至 2012 年擔(dān)任地球科學(xué)、地理和天文學(xué)學(xué)院副院長(zhǎng)，然后擔(dān)任學(xué)院院長(zhǎng)至 2016 年。2014年創(chuàng)立維也納大學(xué)環(huán)境研究網(wǎng)絡(luò)并擔(dān)任主任；該網(wǎng)絡(luò)包括來自自然科學(xué)、社會(huì)科學(xué)、人文科學(xué)、法律和經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)的 230 多名科學(xué)家，旨在應(yīng)對(duì)當(dāng)今的環(huán)境挑戰(zhàn)。他發(fā)表了 170 多篇同行評(píng)審論文，并獲得了德國(guó)學(xué)術(shù)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金基金會(huì)、柏林工業(yè)大學(xué)和德國(guó)水化學(xué)學(xué)會(huì)的獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)?；舴蚵淌谠?2017年被任命為美國(guó)杜克大學(xué)土木與環(huán)境工程系兼職正教授，2018年被聘為天津南開大學(xué)環(huán)境科學(xué)與工程學(xué)院客座教授。

報(bào)告摘要

??The production and use of industrial, agricultural and consumer products lead to the emission of emerging pollutants into the environment such as engineered nanoparticles (ENPs). Concerns arise over the possibility that ENPs might pose a threat to the environment, including drinking water and food supplies, but also provide great opportunities in plant agriculture. Investigations of ENPs are still hampered by the absence of suitable analytical methods that are capable of detecting and quantifying them in complex matrices and at very low concentrations. This knowledge is urgently needed for risk assessment and regulation. This talk will address opportunities and specific aspects concerning the detection and fate of nanoparticles and microplastic in agriculture.
